Artist Darcy Perry has recreated a classic John Blanche piece, a warhammer fantasy battle scene, replacing the original warriors with anthropomorphic ducks.
I have added colour to this pencil drawing from 2020. This is my tongue in beak tribute to the great artist, John Blanche, whose masterpiece adorned the original Warhammer Fantasy Battle whitebox in 1983. #art #fantasy #duckquest #procreate
pic advertising my next live stream - smiling Annie inside an old telly, sunday morning coffee logo, and 10am, 19th april!
It's been SIX MONTHS without a Sunday Morning Coffee, so I'll have a lot to catch you up on. If you've never been before, it's usually a round up of what's happened in the week before in Bad Squiddo and sometimes other hobby gossip 👀

A recently painted Red Corsair, mostly for a friendly online painting competition, but also because I love the recent Raiders kit - just a great set overall. Will slowly paint more to come (hopefully)!

I got “80s dork” and a link to take an autism quiz.
There’s a day left on a bunch of my eBay listings, and tons of it is still really cheap:

An angry carving from the construction team who didn’t build the treasure room because they weren’t paid, and they give clues on how to bypass some later trap…
I wrote about my trip to Sheffield's Oldhammer event, Lead and Steel.

Elf in brown and red with a sword and shield with an alert hunting dog. They are on a platform with rubble and arid cliffs behind.
Same minis either cold, misty background.
4 minis on painting handles. Dwarf, troll, elf and duck.
A Gloranthan vegetable and her meat based pal out for walkies. She’s a Bronze Age elf and will be out soon with loads more from @fenrisgames.com . I added the bow case and wicker shield. Messing about with different @handiworkgames.bsky.social backdrops. Lovely sculpts by @mad-elf.bsky.social
Enjoying a moment's respite, this Roane Deeper's Sergeant printed at 163% size (around 54mm) from Tiny Legend parts is complete. Painted entirely using @thearmypainter.bsky.social Fanatic, Historical, and a couple of John Blanche paints - kinda had to throw some grimdark on, right? Happy with that!
Also, did Salute really even happen if I don't post a haul shot?
Picked up my pledge box of space dorfs from @ontosgames.co.uk, a Great Orc from Wargames Foundry, new #Colony87 models from @crookeddice.bsky.social, brushes from Orange Brushes and Chaos warriors from @diehardminiatures.bsky.social.
It’s the person who organises Turnipcon for the Turnip 28 game. I met him at Salute and he seems lovely.
I had a moment of “who was selling the hedgehogs”?
I saw you in passing but didn’t stop to say hi as I was on a desperate quest for lunch, then sadly didn’t see you again after that.
If you weren’t at Salute today and want some retail therapy, maybe have a nose at my eBay, as I’ve got back on the horse for my clear out.

Some fun stuff at Salute. I managed to not buy much (more undead) and spot my sculpts at 3 traders! Lots of things I already have, many 3D printed stalls that have zero appeal. Felt very behaved. Good to catch up with friends as always. #nerdlings #salute

I wrote words on my blog about going to Lead and Steel, as is tradition.

10 Corsairs Voidreavers in turquoise with maroon capes
I blasted through these Voidreavers today to get them done. Mostly drybrushing and washes but they look alright.

The large hall at Crookes Social Club, with a number of tables with a mix of games and traders on them, while a whole assortment of gamers have fun.
I spent the day at Lead and Steel in Sheffield, and am now collapsed on the sofa watching the Eras Tour and drinking mint tea.

“Two thousand years of theological committees and assorted schisms” is pretty funny in the grand scheme of things.
