Night sky and peaceful morning on the Ohio River!
A peaceful and scenic spot in North Carolina’s Nantahala Mountains!
I believe you can backpack to it, as well!
Amazing!
It definitely had a different look to it than when I visited it two years ago, but the whole area was so beautifully covered in snow!
Off of I-64, close to Hinton. If you are familiar with Pipestem, it is only about 20 miles from there. There is an overlook high above the falls, too!
Snowy Bluestone River and partially frozen Sandstone Falls!
I was there Thurs. and Fri. and there was a good amount of snow. There were many downed trees before entering the park. Disappointed that the tramway was closed. It was also closed last May when I visited. Hopefully, upon my next visit it will be open, so that I may check out Mountain Creek Lodge!
Breakfast with a fantastic view in the Bluestone Dining Room in McKeever Lodge, Pipestem, WV. An equally beautiful view from the room!

Adding memories from X. A beautiful autumn in Red River Gorge in 2022!
Trail N, it has two camping sites along the way. Cloud Splitter is my favorite, the small slot canyon to the arch is amazing and love the view from atop! Star Gap Arch area is also fantastic!
I enjoyed that one as well!
Scenic Presque Isle Bay and North Pier Lighthouse during recent travels in October.
Past hike on an unofficial trail in RRG in Kentucky!
June 2024 on Fontana Lake. A beautiful campsite!
A nice hike with my father on an unofficial trail at Red River Gorge. Nice view of Raven Rock!
