We are continually being told to moderate our politics to remain viable within a “coalition” that represents a shrinking fraction of the country and in reality represents the capitalist class and is highly influenced by funders and consultants

Are you annoyed that photos on Bluesky won’t load right now? Are you frustrated because you’re missing important context on certain skeets?
Great, now you understand why it’s important to always include alt text on your photos.
"Tony Carruthers’ case is a perfect storm of capital punishment’s familiar failures: paid informants, information withheld from the jury, untested physical evidence."
If he is put to death, it would be a serious miscarriage of justice.
And the ppl who live in real life said, "Verily I say unto you all, that a neoliberal democrat president presided over the genocide of Palestinians, and woe, he claimed that he was trying to broker peace, in the books of MSM media, and capped he did. And Kamala also followed suit." Ahhhh, man! 🫠
Yup. "I didn't vote for this" just means "I wrongly assumed I'd have protected status"
70 Minnesota children.
Delta Air Lines, who likely flew nearly all of these kiddos out of MSP, could publicly condemn this and end the practice tomorrow, as the airlines did in 2018 with family separation, but it’s easier to stay silent.
One of the Sandy Hook families lives in hiding 1500 mi away from their baby’s grave due to people stalking them.
The graves of multiple children have been defaced.
One of the fathers had to submit DNA evidence to prove his son was a REAL HUMAN BEING after Alex Jones’ book said he never existed.
Amazon's price predicting algorithm, "Nessie", was paused

A Forbes article about a father who killed eight children, with an embedded prediction widget inviting people to speculate on whether "Congress will pass new gun safety legislation before 31st December 2026"

Browsing this company's website and the only way I can describe what I'm seeing is imagine a school shooter was a management consultant
Recall the Supreme Court held there was a constitutional right to stand on a public sidewalk and scream homophobic rants at a soldier's funeral as long as you're a bunch of right-wing religious freaks, but apparently it's a crime to stand on a public sidewalk and smirk while Black.
Israel is expanding its genocide

- Barry Shitpeas
The yellow line here is a proposed Israeli "forward defense zone," which they intend to occupy and ethnically cleanse. But it includes an area north of the Litani River, which so far the IDF has been unable to cross. If diplomats hand them this bridgehead, they will use it to invade central Lebanon.
"The average taxpayer in 2025 paid: $4,049 for weapons and war, vs. $2,492 for Medicaid, which provided health insurance to 68.5 million Americans in 2025 — about one in five Americans."
In the same manifesto, Palantir's owners argued that we need a national military draft, that soft power is over, and that we were too hard on Germany and Japan after World War II. I don't think that company should be allowed to exist anymore.
A lot of people are still in the denial about how much the median Democratic voter, the median Democratic volunteer, and the median Democratic activist has shifted on a variety of issues. Well here's the handpicked candidate of Chuck Schumer being booed, about Gaza, at the Dem convention.
My big takeaway before voting gets underway at Michigan Dems convention: the energy for the left candidates is absolutely nuts this year. Abdul gets huge standing ovation, especially after call to Abolish ICE; Stevens ($9 million+ from AIPAC) gets sustained boos from beginning to end of her speech.
“Without a local center, patients will be forced to travel more than 2 hours each way to Jackson, Mississippi, every single day,“ Dr. Maroun Hayek said in his letter. “For many in our community, this is simply not possible."
I've had some friends suggest that there was plausible deniability for people who used to work at Palantir who thought at the time it was just another tech company. I always found that hard to believe as it was always creepy and cultish. But after this... anyone still working there...
21. Some cultures have produced vital advances; others remain dysfunctional and regressive. All cultures are now equal. Criticism and value judgments are forbidden. Yet this new dogma glosses over the fact that certain cultures and indeed subcultures ... have produced wonders. Others have proven middling, and worse, regressive and harmful. 22. We must resist the shallow temptation of a vacant and hollow pluralism. We, in America and more broadly the West, have for the past half century resisted defining national cultures in the name of inclusivity. But inclusion into what?
⚠️ Palantir released what it describes as a vision for “The Technological Republic” in which it argues AGAINST democratic and cultural pluralism and FOR militaristic supremacy enforced by a technocratic elite who produce AI weaponry.
These points stand out:
Hate coming across Palantir on a LinkedIn or resumé because the person will absolutely talk about it like they worked for the CIA (“I didn’t do much of the crazy stuff really. Spent all day in Excel basically.”)
Tell me about the OKRs you had to undermine American democracy.
this is an organization that exists to kill people. you should want it destroyed and you should be trying to put as much distance as possible between everyone that ever worked for palantir and any amount of power. this shouldn't be a moral quandary for you. hesitation means you failed already.
if you will only go as far as making their business more "responsible" w/accountability & transparency reports, then you must fundamentally be okay with the work they do, as long as they do it "carefully" and in a documented manner, subject to later auditing ofc.
do you hear yourself? see yourself?
look at palantir (and other AI) dipshits talk about the work they do - ie identifying, monitoring, & facilitating the extrajudicial murder of people all over the world - and tell me you defend a corporate structure's right to exist, or a "kill chain's" right to exist.
and MY work scandalizes you?
it always surprises me when people react really viscerally to the idea of destroying systems and institutions that either no longer serve us (and can't be reformed), or never existed to serve humanity in general. putting the destruction of a system on the table shouldn't be a radical position
Or, and hear me out, write how you want. Don't be cowed by LLMs. We do not have to cede territory to the Theft and Murder Machine. We don't write like LLMs; LLMs generate content that is a simulacrum of our work.
The Democrats sense that they're gonna cruise to midterm victory by doing nothing and offering nothing and are using it as a freebie to punch left to make sure the voters don't get any ideas.
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
