IUPAC naming question: Why are the dimethyl groups listed before the branched substituent (in blue)?
Both start with βmβ and Iβm not sure how to alphabetize. According to the rules, any prefix (di, tri, etc.) should be dropped, so weβre comparing βmethylβ vs βmethylpropylβ
