IUPAC naming question: Why are the dimethyl groups listed before the branched substituent (in blue)?

Both start with “m” and I’m not sure how to alphabetize. According to the rules, any prefix (di, tri, etc.) should be dropped, so we’re comparing “methyl” vs “methylpropyl”

Very excited to finish this chapter at York University! On to the west coast for a change of pace where I’ll be working on photoluminescent materials 👨‍🔬⚗️🧪💡
