It's not just that Orbán losing inspires hope in other competitive-autocratic countries ruled by right-wing nationalist authoritarians. It's that his loss materially changes things in those other countries, because he's been operating as a headquarters and funding source...

Amazon will pay $20.5 million to settle allegations that two of its Oregon data centers helped contaminate groundwater.

This is exactly why communities across the country are organizing to stop data centers — and winning.

Never doubt your power to change the system.

There’s something so wonderful about it all happening in person and I’m glad to even know about it from Portland. Sending goodness ✨☺️

Oh thank you, the dark laughter feels like the only way through.

Also, keep thinking how the cover up lie is ridiculous and unhelpful – pretending he was a doctor (while waging war and yelling at the pope ) is another ladder rung of deranged.

So much wisdom always from @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social ❤️‍🔥 I resonate, this feels like one of her most insightful, clear-eyed and wide angle pieces of the past year —and that is saying a lot!

There’s definitely some things to dig in here, but I still think it’s strange data blocking —That’s wild to go from 5 - 7 year increments to one 20 year increment. I definitely would like to see that 20 year strata broken into five year slots.

This feels like a meditation and an expanse of joy that shows us who we are and all we can be.

This is such a deep, incredible celebration, so many people have worked and dreamed and persevere to get here and it’s such good fuel for all of us who are needing to see what’s possible!

So, if you're not sure what to do, but you're not willing to give up, if you're still thinking and trying—if you're willing to take a stranger by the hand, to try to make some hope—just know I'm here with you. I think a lot of us are, even if it feels lonely where you are right now.

You have more in common with the people of Iran than you do with anyone in this administration, any member of the technocracy, anyone who is profiting from this war, or any billionaire. When you see Iranians forming human chains outside key infrastructure sites, you should feel a sense of kinship.

A blue graphic from five calls organization with the words of a script for calling a representative: “Hi, my name is [NAME] and I'm a constituent from [CITY, ZIP].

I also ask that [REP/SEN NAME] move to impeach Trump for repeatedly defying the law and endangering the American people.
Thank you for your time and consideration.

The news covers the destruction. Nobody covers the building. Right now someone is saving seeds, organizing a food bank, printing a reef, restoring soil, defending a river. Millions of quiet acts that never become a headline. The planet is regenerating. It does it below the threshold of attention.

Ahh yes, Joanna, Thich, and mycorrhizal networks are all such favorite portals of mine too into the living interconnected being-ness we are so intricately part of… beautiful to have these different ways in and feel the pattern touched by more and more beings…
