Getting Oil Tankers To Return to the Strait of Hormuz With 20% of the world’s oil passing through the Strait of Hormuz, a U.S. reinsurance backstop is coaxing insurers and tanker operators to risk mines, drones, and attacks.

As everyone knows, ship traffic through Strait of Hormuz has completely ceased as a result of the unprovoked war against Iran, resulting in 20% of the worlds oil supply suddenly being removed from the market.

Republican Voter ID Outrage Is a Sham – and They Know It Republicans claim voter ID laws stop illegal voting. The facts about REAL ID, free IDs, and election security tell a very different story.

One of the many false claims that Donald Trump, bolstered by the Republican Party’s political apparatus, has made is that historically “blue” states allow undocumented immigrants to vote, and that requiring identification at voting locations would somehow solve this

How Trump Has Broken Our Global Edge Donald Trump and the GOP have dismantled decades of American prestige, damaging trade ties and NATO alliances while China moves to take over global leadership.

The End of #American Global #Dominance is almost here, all thanks to #DonaldTrump, #RussellVought, #MikeJohnson and the #HeritageFoundation.

Is the Nobel Peace Prize Committee Fueling Global Conflict? (LOL) Critics argue the Nobel Peace Prize Committee’s decisions may escalate global tensions. After former President Trump linked losing the 2025 prize to reduced commitment to peace and launched diplomatic disputes with Norway and NATO allies, questions arise about Nobel politics, international reactions, and the true causes of war in a fracturing world order.

In a historic first, the committee that chooses who to bestow the #NobelPeacePrize on appears to be the root cause of more war, strife and conflict around the globe??? Right.

2026 Economic Outlook: Good For Them, Not For Us An economic “jobless expansion” is boosting profits through productivity, AI, and deregulation—good for Wall Street, disastrous for American workers.

Corporate America is salivating over future profits as they replace more and more humans with robotics and AI. Technology is predicted to be the driver of growth in the coming year, while keeping payroll costs flat or down.

U.S. Laws Apply Everywhere. World Government, Anyone? The U.S. capture of Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro exposes a contradiction in Republican claims about sovereignty and opposition to international law.

Republicans used to be opposed to one world government. Now they're all about it, so long as that one world government is ours.

I had a cat that found a small hole in the bottom of the box spring. Left the house came back and couldn't find her. Spent hours panicking looking all over, then she just wakes up, pops out and does a big stretch like nothing happened

The only way it doesn't cost us money is if we're stealing their oil. Oh wait, we are.

The attack, capture, and pending criminal charges against Venezuelan leader #NicolasMaduro expose how fundamental principals and beliefs that @senategop.govpeeps.us and @houserepublicans.bsky.social once held dear have been abandoned to support #DonaldTrump.

Russia And China Must Be Salivating Right Now After ousting Venezuela’s government, Trump’s escalating threats toward Cuba, Colombia, and Mexico raise fears of wider conflict—and embolden Russia and China.

In the last couple days, #DonaldTrump threw aside his aspersions for a Nobel Peace Prize and attacked #Venezuela and arrested its leader. Now we, along with the rest of the world, stand in alarm wondering what he plans to do next.

Oil Is The Reason The U.S. Pushed For War With Venezuela Venezuela was never targeted over drugs. The real motive was oil. A look at nationalization history, Iraq parallels, and the case sold to the public.

It was obvious all along that our sudden interest in #Venezuela wasn't about #drugs. It was about capturing the countries oil, plain and simple. I've written about this repeatedly, with our actions and motivations now "official", I wanted to touch on it one last time.

Here We Go… More Blood Will Be Spilled for Oil, Again The U.S. military buildup in the Caribbean signals a new conflict over resources. Is Trump pushing America toward another war for Venezuelan oil with a false drug war narrative?

He didn’t launch this one war to distract from issues at home.

This has been in thr works for months as way of rewarding oil companies for their financial support.

Anyone who is shocked wasn’t paying attention.

Drug boats were always a mirage.

“Narco terrorism” was always fabrication

It was about oil from the beginning.

We all knew it was coming. The republicans congress is derelict in its duty to be a check and balance. The president shouldn’t be able to go in and arrest the leader of another country, ANY other country, on a whim.

It was obvious all along

Ok, I love @bsky.app because it allows all of us to connect with each other. But we don’t get to debate to other side like we can on #twitter.

I can’t be the only one of us with an account there can I?

Would you all mind giving me a follow in that platform also?

Thanks!

Line graph time series of 2025's daily global sea ice extent anomalies in red shading compared to each year from 1979 to 2023 using shades of purple to white for each line. The year 2024 is also highlighted in yellow, which is the current absolute magnitude record low. Anomalies are computed relative to a 1981-2010 baseline. There is substantial interannual and daily variability. Data from the NSIDC.

The extent of global sea ice cover will end the year at more than 2 million square kilometers below average 😞

There are no "overlapping agendas". Only one: Not cocaine. Not fentanyl. Not drug boats.

It's always been about the oil.

Driven by U.S. oil companies who know we're going to be tapped out of crude in two decades or less.

Most likely MUCH sooner.

Problem is that presidents have launched many wars over the last few decades without Congressional approval.

As awful and unconstitutional as that is, how do you think you can stop it? He can ignore congress with impunity thanks to the Supreme Court.

We've never been particularly good at imposing democracy on other countries. But we have excelled at installing puppet leaders who do our bidding.

and this will be another example of it.
