Team Asobi really came in and made one of the best platformers I've ever played, all while being an amazingly genuine love letter to PlayStation, huh. Can't wait for the rest of the Vicious Void levels to drop.

It only feels that way because I want to be better but don't really know how/can't see progress as fast as I'd ideally like. Burnout doesn't help these feelings because it's less of a call to action and more just...disappointing fuel to the fire.

Also, this has introduced me to the crazy talent in the Sonic modding community. While I did my first run-through of the classics thru Origins+, I went down a rabbit hole about the Retro Engine and found Sonic Forever, S2: Absolute, S3 AIR, and CD Restored as well as used a ton of QOL mods for SA2.

For someone who has played a lot of games but more times than not actually beat them, I've been on an INSANE Sonic kick the past month. I've picked up & beaten:

Sonic 2 (3 times)
Sonic 3+K (twice)
Sonic(& Shadow) Gen.
Sonic Mania
and Sonic Adventure 2.

This is crazy value for money. This game has so many unique gameplay avenues and content that it feels like if any other game did it, it would feel bloated and messy, but it NEVER DOES. It's a shame the Godzilla DLC is no longer available because that's what got me to finally try it out.

I've been getting back into my 3DS lately and casually been playing Disney/Pokémon Art Academy, and it's actually super helpful teaching stuff like construction? Wish I knew about this stuff when I was a kid.

I have been in a horrible, burned out funk for the past few months, but goddamn did Sonic 3 reawaken some dormat autistic energy well inside me. I don't think I've had that much fun watching a movie since Endgame. #Sonic3Movie

I've truly missed your presence, Sketch.

From what I've learned so far is that it is very important to trust the process, even if it's not going as fast as you feel it should. Continue to draw and push through the anxiety, and soon, you'll look back and really be able to see the difference.

I feel this a lot, and I think it's because we tend to look at our own progress and work under a microscope because our brain's are constantly "staring" at it; whereas typically you're only shown other artist's final piece, completely omitting that perspective it took to get there.
