“The history of the 7 and 1/2 floor video” captured various company orientation videos I’ve had to watch in my life.

I never knew that cities have to PAY Michelin a quarter of a million dollars to get their restaurants reviewed. That’s insane (in addition to their racist review policies). But in 2026, why should anyone believe a restaurant guide from a tire company designed to promote driving?

The “Flanagan, Repeal Minn Stat 3.226, Boycott Israel” caucus had 26 members & got 2 delegates to the state DFL convention. Another group “Uncommitted, Human Rights for Gaza” got at least 1, maybe 2 delegates. So 3 or 4 are going to the state convention to represent this issue just from District 64.

Best Printing Service Online - Custom Business Printing Services | PRINTING INDUSTRY EXCHANGE, LLC

go to printindustry.com and enter all the specs of the job and your email and basic info. Printers look at this and send you bids. Give it a week or more before you commit as many bids come late. I’ve had small editions of CARtoons printed this way.

and look where it got THEM! The biggest downtown property owner (who was a notorious resister of anything bike/ped) went bankrupt. The big malls on University (who resisted downsizing University to two driving lanes) are half empty, etc etc. 🙄

Republicans (and some Democrats) would rather bomb and kill babies after they’re born (or separate them from their parents as they deport them) as opposed to financially helping parents and children. If we changed our national priorities (and social safety net), there’d be a lot more kids.

I just wrote to the state DFL asking them to disavow AIPAC money and to repeal state anti-boycott legislation for Israel, something that exists in over 40 state statutes. I haven’t received a reply.

Or you wish Metro Transit did’t waste a half billion dollars on a Gold Line BRT that very few people ride. I actually KNOW that crevasse! (Just south of the Dubliner on Cretin). ❤️

What was the outcome, or do we know yet? Is Dave Pinto in the committee? If so, do I need to call him?

Yet, if not for the unwise justice seekers, the world would devolve into a hellish pool of crap.

The court case details all the ways the mob scammed money from the conversion to buses. Isadore Blumenfeld (mentioned as majority owner of TCRT) was the mobster “Kid Cann”. Fred Ossana (who ran TCRT for Blumenfeld) was a mob attorney who had worked for GM’s National City Lines.

It’s kind of a coffee-table book, rather than a research book. It denies (based on nothing) that there was any conspiracy to destroy Twin Cities Rapid Transit but ignores Isaacs v US court case and other, overwhelming conspiracy evidence— law.justia.com/cases/federa...

I emailed them both. Noecker responded affirmatively, in detail, within a day, both in writing and by phone. Perez-Vega took a week and responded negatively, listing her other priorities and why a Ford Spur trail was a waste of her time and money.

I asked the candidates for Ramsey County District 5 if they would prioritize acquiring the Ford Spur and building the promised mixed-use trail on it (from Highland Bridge to Randolph Ave). Rebecca Noecker said yes. Maria Perez-Vega said no. So I’ll be endorsing Noecker at the District 64 Convention.

Right on. In the future, I hope St Paul PW has the capacity to apply and compete for non-motorized funding opportunities.

@saintpaulbike.bsky.social After No Kings Rally, some SPBC folks met at the north end of the Ayd Mill Trail and picked up trash. We made it as far south as Grand before we ran out of bags and carrying capacity, then we went to Bad Weather and Waldmanns. Good times!

My dad’s cousin help organize a (human-driven) ride program in rural Nova Scotia. This isn’t about helping rural people, it’s about automation to avoid paying human workers. Additionally, folks needing more transportation services could move to a denser area that has Lyft and public transit.

When, 2.5 years later, they make some weak, tepid statement, I can’t believe them or take them seriously. It’s like Gavin Newsom saying nothing, then making a tepid criticism of Israel, then backtracking the minute he gets a bit of criticism. They have no soul & only care about their own survival.

What I mean is I would never give them any money. They set themselves up as an alternative voice to AIPAC but, when push came to shove, they ended up being just as bad. Ditto for a lot of other so-called “progressive” Jewish media, political and religious organizations.

I don’t see why Minnesota residents need to be lab rats for these AV companies, but I guess their lobbyists and PAC money have flooded the legislature and alternative transport groups have to be in damage control mode.
