learning about lighting in blender is kicking my butt; like with 2d art you can kind of 'cheat' the lighting and loads of artists go with 'rule of cool' that if it looks good and mostly makes sense, we ball. Fake distance by desaturating colors. I am sure there are 3d cheats but I need to learn em!
