My book (!) How Economics Discovered Women is now available for pre-order from the University of California Press. The book is a survey and critique of how the economics of gender has developed since the mid-1970s. www.ucpress.edu/books/how-ec...

Please repost! Repost and I'll buy you a drink at ASSA 2027 or future conference
Proud to have "Nonbinary Gender Economics" out in JPE Micro. We document the economic experiences and preferences of nonbinary individuals—a population of 1M+ in the US that is often overlooked.
👏

I miss the old days of Econ blogging when Greg Mankiw would respond to my post about why he is shoveling snow off his roof. I think we are missing something when Ivy League profs don't interact with the rest of us as much

Every session and event sponsored by the National Economic Association was over capacity. The AEA must assign space appropriately in future meetings.
Your session was fantastic! Sorry I didn't get a chance to say hello
Not sure where people got the number but I heard attendance was 5,000 compared to 2 to 3 times that pre-covid. Had a good time still, and went only for a day in part because it was close

I saw the same issue in Econ so I wrote an article about placements at non-PhD schools. I saw the lit from other fields, and they all have we looked at only the top 100 PhD programs. So likely someone could write the poli sci one journals.sagepub.com/doi/10.1177/...
