Trump lies about every fucking thing !!

I wish Scott Wiener could succeed Nancy Pelosi yesterday. (Just as a Representative, not as Minority Leader or Speaker although I do want him to lead the transportation committee.)

I have never been so disappointed by a representative in my lifetime, other than the ones who switched parties. It's time she left. She lost her understanding of her place in the political process when she sided with big money donors to be a king maker.

Okay, this is likely a Russian bot. Who else is more terrified of memes than Russians? God forbid we make fun of them!

It's a good thing they don't listen to people, and only criticize on looks, or they might learn a thing or two. I don't know about this one, but they usually are atrociously unoriginal in their art. It's like they can't stand good taste existing in their little worlds.

BREAKING NEWS: Trump And Ursula Von Der Leyen Announces Massive US-EU Trade Deal YouTube video by Forbes Breaking News

And weirdly, I've come around to the idea of the US making chips at home instead of largely in Taiwan.
It may disincentivise attacking Taiwan because there would be less strategic advantage, while maintaining the risk.

It's always "the government" when Republicans are in the majority. They cannot tell the difference.

I'm not surprised that Thiel and Epstein shared the same goals. I am at least mildly surprised these creeps felt the need to meet and coordinate their goals.

Dear @aimod.social...you are either a troll or a complete nutter. There's no ai use here and the fact you can't tell should end your tenure here on Bluesky.

Data is created by what people are willing to admit. Virtually nobody admits to being a racist, although some come close to admitting misogyny. Even the most rigorous surveys can't read people's minds when they know their reasoning is publicly unacceptable.

know we're not supposed to share things like this on Linkedn, but I'm going to share it anyway because it was horrifying and it's happening everywhere and it needs to be shared.
This morning when I was driving home after dropping my son off at summer camp, I saw a swarm of ICE agents as I drove past our local Home Depot. It looked like they were tying up some workers, and my first reaction was to pull into the parking lot.
I couldn't think. I couldn't process. I couldn't reason. I just jumped out of my car and started filming.
I then watched as these two people were disappeared into unmarked vehicles, with one of the ICE vehicles trying to back into me when I wasn't looking.
Another woman tried to help. An ICE agent tried to slap her phone down when she tried to get a phone number to call this man's family. They wouldn't let her. Instead, they whisked him away and accused her of obstructing justice.
I'm currently lying awake in bed at 11pm thinking about how these men won't return home to their families tonight, and their families will probably never know what happened to them.
I've been through some traumatic events in my life, but I've never witnessed anything like this.
This was down the street from my son's elementary school in our little peaceful coastal town.
You may not see it on the news, but you'll hear it from me because it needs to be shared.

From the LinkedIn of the womanโ€”a white lawyer from Carlsbad, CAโ€”who filmed this encounter and shared the video:

a thin white woman in head to toe lululemon screaming at these thugs makes me think ICE has jumped the shark

It would be helpful if someone started creating a database with badge numbers and ID for all the ICE agents caught on video. Just in case we ever get the chance for a reckoning.

Drone joke

Authoritarianism relies on fear to be successful.

Laughing can be an act of resistance.

I will not surrender my humor or my joy.

Opinion | Why the Senate's Russia report should be one of America's biggest stories Trump and Biden's contrasting positions on Russian interference in American elections are clear. Whether voters care about these differences, however, is not as obvious.

Did Musk Really "Leave"? NO Unauthorized DOGE Is Still Operational and Dangerous
