Explaining to my children that all of their cheap plastic toys will eventually break, and all of their balloons will eventually deflate, and the only thing they can count on is love.

Maybe that’s wishful thinking of projection or something, but that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

One thing seems certain, behind it all, powering the whole thing, seems to an enormous, unrelenting, unbearable, irresistible, love.

I’m thoroughly mystified by various entheogenic visions of the nature of reality. The information about the mechanics of it all is often conflicting, and frankly above my pay grade.

I like to believe that we are all held in perfect safety and love in the mind of God. I picture this God as a dreaming Vishnu, infinite and peaceful.

Of course this is only the material universe. The spiritual universe most likely has a different history, about which I can only speculate.

From what I’ve gathered, the size of the universe is equal to the age of the universe times the speed of light.

I just keep thinking about how we know the universe isn’t infinitely old and infinitely big. If it were, the night sky would be totally blazing bright with an infinite amount of starlight.
