I found that one comment on Reddit that solved my problem. It was a setting in the scene settings that for whatever reason was switched on by default.
Switched those off and I got my headphones back. God. Sony, wth, why would you enable this sh*t by default?!?!
I’d switch the headphones off just to stop the dumb voice so it stops yapping.
I considered selling them and buying different brand but the sound quality and the noise cancelling was so good I couldn’t get to it.
And it kept going. Every full hour I’d get a full hour notification and read out in English of my polish messages.
I was going crazy: wth.
I switched everything off: voice assistants, messages, notifications etc
Nothing worked.
And then
A full hour came. A somehow 2010s automated voice muted my music and announced “it is now eleven a m”.
What? Why would I want that. A minute later? It muted my music again and in the same voice started reading a notification from my phone (written in polish, read in English pronunciation)
So when my xm4’s battery got a bit worse after 5 years of 8hours/5 days a week usage I decided to update to xm6.
First opinions: wow. WOW. The noise cancelling! The wall drilling next door was barely noticeable. The app was so nice. The two-device sync? Amazing!

As some of you may know since many years I am a fan of Sony Wh-1000 series headphones. Mostly because of their out-of-this-world noise cancellation. It saved me on multiple flights and allowed my goldfish-level attention brain to actually finish my comics.

The new skate. game is so buggy and unfinished it’s crashing my ps5 every 30 minutes. But still I had so much fun just flipping out tricks on a halfpipe with random online dudes… probably the only online open world game I genuinely had good time in.
