Too bad the like five consecutive hits it requires the Rangers to score any run didn't pan out now that the Mariners scored on one pitch.

I think that's why Josh Jung basically said "get the fuck out out of here, I've got it" He seemed like the only guy who could catch a popup yesterday.
The funniest part about that game is last year's team wins that game too because they don't lose the 5-3 lead but last year's team wouldn't have come back in the 9th.
When they put Rob Manfred in the Hall of Fame, this entire Rangers vs. A's game should be played on loop on his plaque.
lol
The Rangers surely lead baseball in dropped foul ball popups that immediately turn into base hits.
Danny Jansen got the ABS green light today and it's beautiful.
The Rangers are using their ABS challenges today. I might cry.
The bad news, of course, is that after that comes the weeks of sucking.
Well the good news is we're almost at the finally does something part of the Joc Pederson cycle of sucking so hard that when he runs into one he spends a full minute screaming at the haters.
Major props to Kyle Higashioka for at least trying to make use of ABS tonight.
Made me chuckle a little that it was Jansen that got ABS'd into a strikeout.

This MacKenzie Gore fella is kind of nasty.
Shit adds up too. That was a 26-pitch inning when it didn't need to be for a team that is already chewing through bullpen innings.
I am once again begging the Rangers to challenge pitches.
These are the kinds of games the Mariners usually Mariner the Rangers. It's nice to be on the other side.
I was certain George Kirby was going to shut the Rangers out on like 65 pitches. That long two-out rally by the M's in the top of the inning must have iced Kirby.
Apparently Schumaker drilled it into their heads to only use the challenges in impactful situations and to always save one for a potential late-innings game-deciding pitch and it got in their heads and made them reluctant to challenge.
Ah, yeah, the last team in the league to get a challenge right while in the field. No other team had fewer than two coming into tonight to Texas' zero.
The Rangers are finally on the board calling an ABS challenge while in the field, the last squad in the league to do so.
How do the Rangers just nail the aw shucks doofus org vibes every time? You gotta applaud to consistency.
Joc has risen!
Jack Leiter is pretty dang good. The next step toward great would probably be working on getting ahead of hitters early in his outings and then getting a little more efficient on two-strike pitches later.
The Rangers successfully used ABS. I'm so proud.
(For example, they're the only team in the league that hasn't won a challenge while pitching and have the fewest attempts in the league [with one].)
I wrote about it the other day. So far, they are right there with Cleveland as the worst and they've probably moved past them at this point.
Someone want to tell Danny Jansen baseball has ball/strike replay now?
Rangers defense probably wants a mulligan on first pitch for this one.
I'm not really surprised the guy you called up and were like "hey I know you're basically retired but do you want a bunch more millions of dollars to play another season" isn't going well.
