Sounds fun. When do we start?

I think our society really is grossly underestimating how important visible accountability is for social cohesion.

May we re-learn this lesson.

This is horrific. I feel physically ill.

Yes, that was my point.

LLMs are software that enables people to "talk" to computers without needing to understand code, the lingo or process.

For that, they're pretty amazing. But yeah, LLMs don't do anything that we don't already have.

We haven't actually invented AI yet, but when we do, LLMs will be the interface.

You think they won a massive majority because people thought they were voting for a a right-wing party?!

Or perhaps, you weren't replying to me... 🤷‍♀️

BBC Wales apparently, yeah I saw it yesterday. Absolutely shocking.

I don't think anyone wanted or suggested appeasement. This was about a *diplomatic* position.

And when Mandleson was appointed, Europe was not opposing. They were trying the exact same strategy — to humour him. Rutte, Meloni and Macron have all attempted to be "Trump whisperers", Rutte still is.

So am I to understand: the Tories appointed a load of right-wing people to skew the BBC in favour of them.

Labour won't fix the prob, because... it's beneath them?!

So UK has a Leftie Govt, elected by the nation, with a massive majority. And a *National* Broadcaster who has a problem with that.

🤷‍♀️

I'm always skeptical of BBC-bashing, but BBC News website hasn't reported on the Tice tax scandal since 12 April, when the headline was "Tice £91,000 tax row is 'minor administrative error', party claims".

Seriously? They wouldn't even re-post you? That's mad!

Years back, a publisher‘s PR dept offered to send me on a social media course. I asked them, if I did the course, would they start reposting and retweeting my posts about my books?

Reader, I was not sent on the course.

Of course not. That's well known.
But having someone they know and like available to communicate with them can work. For example, Putin seems to be handling Trump better than anyone — because (IMO) Trump thinks Putin & Larov are his friends.

Telegraph newspaper editorial on Mandelson's appointment in December 2024 versus editorial today

17 hours ago 909 401 32 26

Yes! I am infuriated that the media is pretending not to understand this! He was appointed *because* he was part of the Epstein Class, not because they didn't realise that!

It was a strategy. Not a good one, in the end, but honestly I think it was worth a try.

Britain, like any other Westminster-style Parliamentary democracy, doesn't have "midterms" or anything close to it.

The British right are positively embarrassed to be British and so spend their days wistfully hoping for the time they can proudly claim their new status as serfs of Washington.

Rejection comes with the territory but you brush it off and move on. Occasionally, however, a particular #cartoon not finding a home really pisses you off. This is one of them. #sealife #pollution #aquarium

Trump’s presidency is what evil looks like: absurd, frightening, cruel | Nesrine Malik Commentators have said that the US president’s clownishness and lack of ideology somehow make him less dangerous. They’re wrong, says Guardian columnist Nesrine Malik

The fact America has unleashed this truly unhinged man on the world must be a reflection of their failed society. The fact that no one is stopping him shows that this evil is not confined to this one man.

Palantir manifesto described as ‘ramblings of a supervillain’ amid UK contract fears Alarm caused by posts of Alex Karp, tech firm’s CEO, championing US military dominance and of AI weapons

I haven't commented on Palantir specifically but their actions are clearly in line with the rise of corporate giants as significant actors in the world order which is routinely under-discussed by pieces that only focus on what national governments do. www.theguardian.com/technology/2...

30 people made the decision to award the Palantir contract.

@unison.org.uk represent 1.3m people and the BMA all doctors.

It's time the Labour government cleared up Tory mess and remove Palantir from NHS.

Almost everything we argue about is a substitute for the thing we should be arguing about: the immense wealth & power of an oligarchic class, which captures governments, ruins lives and wrecks the living planet.
This class redirects our rage at scapegoats. To resist its lies is to resist its power.

Why do you think they have permission?

This isn't a "company statement," it's a sales pitch to Govts — Palantir get most of their income from Govt contracts.

People who dislike white supremacist dogma (1) don't elect racists, and (2) contact your MP/ representative to object to them as vendors.

Extremely normal and fine for a company to put this in a public statement

We need to overwhelm the BBC with complaints about this. This is the most egregious breach of their own impartiality guidelines I can remember. They’re no longer even trying to hide it.

Spain has recently outpaced the US in GDP growth, emerging as one of the fastest-growing major advanced economies. As of 2024–2025, Spain’s economy is growing at a rate over 3% annually, exceeding the US (~2%) and Eurozone (~1%) averages.

Donald is such an uninformed idiot.
