so fair and valid tbh ;_; i hope that the weather changes are easier to manage soon, and if not, you have exclusive rights to burn anything you want to

staying inside is also one of the best ways for me to prevent migraines ;_; they should invent a weather that lets you go outside. i hope they publish new research and learn more about it to develop more working options. though i also hate how even trying things costs money only to not work

anyway im also sharing some of what ive learned from others and my neurologist just to collect it all. maybe it might help you or someone else reading this

Canadian experience with vehicle headlights and glare at night Transport Canada wants to learn how headlight glare affects road users and what vehicle or lighting features may influence how people experience it at night.

also reminds me, transport canada is doing a survey on experiences with led headlights (whether u drive or dont) that i filled out a few days ago if thats something ur interested in adding to! tc.canada.ca/en/corporate...

so those are my next options bc driving esp in the night really triggers my migraines, and i've always furrowed my brows/squinted in the sun bc it hurts.

a friend told me that they were rec'd fl-41 tinted glasses by their neurologist but any rose, pink, amber, or orangey tint should also work. he got them off zenni with prescription lenses, but there are cheaper ones too. and another got perscription sunglasses.

tried more holistic approaches too (sleep, water, eat enough, part of phase 1+2), i had abortives but im also on supplements which i found reduce severity/occurance, my wisdom teeth are all officially GONE since christmas, and im on bp meds rn to see if they help. using tylenol/advil as preventative

you went through such bs! u shouldnt have to fight odsp, & for so long too. my clinic also takes a while for appointments, and they call me up when im supposed to have an appt, i cant schedule in advance? im still trying for treatments - first phase was identifying, monitoring & reducing triggers

2 weeks ago 1 0 1 0

thank you, i appreciate it!!! mine are always open for you too! especially when some of my triggers are related to other people's actions (fragrances/essential oils) though i should really get more used to using the tl like before (on my other bluesky personal account)

i remember when you were fighting with ODSP and the HIGH number of migraines u had to experience before they would cover you though i dont remember the exact number, im glad yours is covered now though

(15 pills, max use a month = 8) was $150 and not covered by by school insurance or has discounts. BONKERS. i used 2 in the last year bc one time it didnt work and it feels like im throwing money down the drain.

same here!! i've had them since a kid but always called them headaches because i didn't know there was a difference. literally such a struggle. ur right, the restrictions on treatment can be so frustrating to work around. the abortive meds i was on i was afraid to use because about 2 months worth

The image is a flat-coloured painting featuring a dark skull. The skull is cracked and splitting, and a gilded sword stabs through the skull from head to jaw. Golden thorns pierce through the socket of the eye and the mouth to symbolize the pain being too intense to speak or see. The lines are intricate and gold, and the colours are dark with floral arrangements pushing out of a border.

"It's just a headache."

Migraines are far worse than headaches. They impact vision, feel skull-splittingly painful and make it impossible to function properly. They are debilitating, chronic and can last an awfully long time, even days.
