I finished the aquatint etching I posted last week! I made a couple of mistakes but I'm happy with how it turned out, especially since this is just for practice

The Jiji etchings are finished. I made a couple mistakes but this is just an experiment to teach me the process; I will be doing another aquatint project soon.

WIP pic of an aquatint copper etching I'm making of my cat, Jiji. This is a process where you use chemicals to incise lines and dots onto copper, which you then run inked through a press. This is a historic printmaking technique notably used by Francisco Goya.

Cover: The design is divided into two vertical sections. In the top section, Aki and Donté are sitting on the floor in Donté’s room, chatting. There's anime posters on the wall and plushies all over the bed. In the bottom section, Ten Thousand Suns is fighting Okawa in a snowy landscape reminiscent of ukiyo-e.

The back cover description reads, "Aki Shinbo is a half-human, half-demon exorcist caught between worlds. Living in the rural South with painful memories of another dimension, an ordinary day turns into a nightmare when his father returns to Earth to capture his best friend and his best friend's parents. Will Aki be able to fight back, or will be have to return to his past in the Nowhere Lands?"
