I regret to bring to the attention of fellow millennials the existence of this BBC Bitesize page.

Hi! we have not seen the new version, but in response to the decision to scrap the horrific original I commented saying that this was a step in the right direction, but big changes would be needed for it to be workable: www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...
Trans and pride flags at protest in London
One year ago today.
Our small, skilled, volunteer team hasn’t stopped since the FWS judgment, and we need your help.
Will you support our work? www.zeffy.com/en-GB/donati...
Most of what we do is behind the scenes, but here’s how we have used your funding so far:
“[The ruling] has enabled a dark political climate where some politicians, including from Labour, sound like they’re borrowing from Trump’s playbook on trans equality,” Alex Parmar-Yee, @transsolidarity.bsky.social tells QueerAF

Trans pupils are being failed. The Government’s draft ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance is a threat to the safety and wellbeing of trans+ kids at school and college.
Is this dignity? Trans+ students will be banned from toilets and changing rooms that reflect their gender. Schools and colleges will be allowed to refuse a child or young person’s request to socially transition.
Is this respect? Trans and non-binary students will be encouraged to not come out. The proposals label all trans and non-binary children as ‘gender questioning’.
Reminder: trans kids need our help.
📚 The government’s proposed changes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ would fail trans pupils.
🏫 The draft safeguarding guidance would turn teachers into gender cops.
⏰ Act now, there’s not long left.

Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
What an incoherent mess,
Workplace Regulations (1992).
The law now for trans+ people trying to go about their lives, and for our employers and service providers, is now completely incoherent - and the government needs to act. Full analysis to follow.
We speak with one voice More than 140 LGBTQ+ and feminist orgs have worked with us to protect trans inclusion
LATEST: Together, we have sent a vital message to our political representatives:

Text that reads: The EHRC is reportedly softening its line on Trans+ segregation, after a change in leadership. Equality watchdog the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is reportedly "adapting" its draft code of practice to "lessen its impact" on business and "balance single-sex spaces with lives of Trans+ people", ahead of a critical judgment on its advice to segregate Trans+ people from single sex spaces - The Guardian It follows a number of developments in recent months, including: Three employment tribunals reaching different conclusions about the Supreme Court ruling's meaning - the cases of Sandie Peggie, Leonardo vs Maria Kelley, and Darlington Nurses. Growing pressure from businesses over the code's lack of feasibility. The exit of the EHRC's previous chair, with Mary Ann-Stephenson being appointed as replacement.
"Any new version of the EHRC's code that does not provide clarity for service providers on how to include trans people will not fix this mess,” says @transsolidarity.bsky.social director Alex Parmar-Yee @fruitypy.bsky.social

losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people
really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?
Distraught woman says ICE killed her wife in video after deadly Minneapolis shooting "They killed my wife," the distraught woman says, adding, "They shot her in the head." An ICE agent shot and killed a 37-year-old woman who was driving an SUV in Minneapolis on Wednesday. / Screenshot/@Breaking911
"They killed my wife. I don't know what to do," the woman says through sobs in the footage, with a damaged SUV visible in the distance behind her. "We stopped to videotape, and they shot her in the head," the woman cries. "We have a six-year-old at school," she says, almost unable to breathe, as a chaotic scene in which federal officers prevented at least one doctor who was on the scene from assisting the shot victim unfolds. "We're new here," the distraught woman says in despair.
You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.
This could be you.
Things I didn't expect to see on TV today: on C4's Sunday Brunch all the guests were putting in their predictions for 2026 such as "I'm going to meet Arianna Grande" or "England men's team wins world cup". Host Tim's prediction was AGI would solve the climate crisis and "distribution of wealth"
A lot of people expect more from Chappell Roan than they do from their own elected officials

£40 per month is a lot to commit so even a few quid per month or a single one-off donation will help us keep going.
I saw that the Times did a piece on FWS. It states they survive mostly on direct debit donations of under £40 per person. The fundraising of the Trans+ Solidarity Alliance currently has 3 monthly donations of £10 and under. If you fancy adding to this visit us here: www.zeffy.com/en-GB/donati...

This was a lovely project to work on, as we rounded off what has been an incredibly challenging year. To receive messages like these has been incredibly heartwarming and are vindication of the work that we poured in to bringing joy to trans youth.
