The Millennial generation: What do we know about them? - BBC Bitesize You’ve probably heard of millennials and the stereotypes that surround them. But what is a millennial? And what do we know about this generation?

I regret to bring to the attention of fellow millennials the existence of this BBC Bitesize page.

EHRC updates guidance on how to apply supreme court ruling on gender Changes follow concern that original code created a legal minefield for organisations implementing it

Hi! we have not seen the new version, but in response to the decision to scrap the horrific original I commented saying that this was a step in the right direction, but big changes would be needed for it to be workable: www.theguardian.com/world/2026/a...

Supreme Court Decision one year on – 365 days of confusion, gaslighting, and fear A ruling that was supposed to provide legal clarity has left service providers more confused than ever, and Trans+ people vulnerable. What now?

“[The ruling] has enabled a dark political climate where some politicians, including from Labour, sound like they’re borrowing from Trump’s playbook on trans equality,” Alex Parmar-Yee, @transsolidarity.bsky.social tells QueerAF

Trans pupils are being failed.

The Government’s draft ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance is a threat to the safety and wellbeing of trans+ kids at school and college.

Is this dignity?

Trans+ students will be banned from toilets and changing rooms that reflect their gender.

Schools and colleges will be allowed to refuse a child or young person’s request to socially transition.

Reminder: trans kids need our help.

📚 The government’s proposed changes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ would fail trans pupils.

🏫 The draft safeguarding guidance would turn teachers into gender cops.

⏰ Act now, there’s not long left.

International Women’s Day website owners urged to stop ‘exploiting’ day Hundreds sign open letter calling for owner of website, from which UN has distanced itself, to ‘contribute meaningfully’ More than 900 people have signed an open letter to the owners of the website internationalwomensday.com demanding that it “contribute meaningfully” or step aside. “It is our strong belief that you have been exploiting a social movement for financial gain, without addressing any of the genuine structural issues the day was founded on,” stated the letter, authored by two UK-based professionals and circulating widely on social media. The law now for trans+ people trying to go about their lives, and for our employers and service providers, is now completely incoherent - and the government needs to act. Full analysis to follow.

Text that reads: The EHRC is reportedly softening its line on Trans+ segregation, after a change in leadership.
Equality watchdog the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is reportedly "adapting" its draft code of practice to "lessen its impact" on business and "balance single-sex spaces with lives of Trans+ people", ahead of a critical judgment on its advice to segregate Trans+ people from single sex spaces - The Guardian

It follows a number of developments in recent months, including:

Three employment tribunals reaching different conclusions about the Supreme Court ruling's meaning - the cases of Sandie Peggie, Leonardo vs Maria Kelley, and Darlington Nurses.
Growing pressure from businesses over the code's lack of feasibility.
The exit of the EHRC's previous chair, with Mary Ann-Stephenson being appointed as replacement.

losing my mind at the "she should have followed directions" people

really? really? you're cool with "if you don't follow directions, they get to kill you"? that seems like a good state of affairs to you? that seems like how law enforcement ought to work: instant obeisance or death?

"They killed my wife. I don't know what to do," the woman says through sobs in the footage, with a damaged SUV visible in the distance behind her. "We stopped to videotape, and they shot her in the head," the woman cries.
"We have a six-year-old at school," she says, almost unable to breathe, as a chaotic scene in which federal officers prevented at least one doctor who was on the scene from assisting the shot victim unfolds. "We're new here," the distraught woman says in despair.

You and your wife drop your 6-year-old off at school. You just moved here. You see ICE terrorizing your new neighbors. You film them, as is your legal right. Your wife complies with orders. She is then shot in the head. You still have to pick up your child later today.

This could be you.

Things I didn't expect to see on TV today: on C4's Sunday Brunch all the guests were putting in their predictions for 2026 such as "I'm going to meet Arianna Grande" or "England men's team wins world cup". Host Tim's prediction was AGI would solve the climate crisis and "distribution of wealth"
