The idea that being *a member of the House of Lords* in any way means you can be trusted with Top Secret/STRAP material without proper vetting is so beyond absurd that this must surely be a joke?

He's running.
I will thank you! We have almost no communal power use, small block with just lights, so wouldn’t be worth it for that sadly.
Unfairly this is not going to be something you can answer, but I’m really interested in the possibilities/challenges for blocks of flats. If we invest in this for our block do we need extra legal stuff for managing it? And presumably everyone still has a meter, and how are calculations done? Etc.

A huge wall just partially collapsed at Khotyn Fortress — one of Ukraine's most famous medieval landmarks, 17 km north of Moldova. Not due to war, it's just old and neglected.
Staff are counting the losses and searching for money to rebuild.

Well spotted. Yeah it’s almost entirely fabricated (you would never see the full length of that distant church in the water) but doesn’t include the other fabrication!
Actual surviving artefacts being turned into a vaguely truthy mishmash of historical-coded things. (I mean apart from the extra wheels)
Unbelievably awful.
It’s added something to the square church tower that you would never see on an English church. Looks more like an 18c Paris roofline.
Well this is embarrassing
A colleague didn’t recognise me in my glasses so I tried to joke “I’m Clark Kent” but accidentally declared “I’m Ken Clarke”
That said, I’m not in favour of having politically appointed Ambassadors. As we see, they often turn out to be more trouble than they’re worth. Also, maintaining a professional diplomatic service is an important national interest in my view. End/

There is something ironic about Boris Johnson, the classicist, being brought down by his own inherent fatal flaws, while Keir Starmer, the lawyer, may be brought down by trying to hide behind technicalities.
Although maybe that in itself is a fatal flaw. I wonder what Sophocles would say
From this month’s Fortean Times. I’m sort of in awe
Well that *was* rather witty I thought but clearly nothing here will work long enough for anyone to read it 😔
Another great thing about his name is all headlines now sound a bit early medieval, like the Brussels bureaucrats are off for a meeting with some violent horse people
