I just sat down, opened a canvas, telling myself to just draw my mind, without a goal or a final vision, and focus on not making it perfect but reflective.

This was the most fun I’ve had drawing in a long while.

Similar experience, though my style isn’t as similar to Shinkawa-san’s work. For me, studying his art (for fun) for a while was what FINALLY solidified/established my art style after years of not knowing what worked for me.

But it does seem like Shinkawa’s influence is SUBTLY visible in my artwork.
