RFK Jr. says he wants to be totally transparent, so naturally he fired federal workers who are responsible for responding to FOIA requests. Great piece by @reshmagar.bsky.social below. theconversation.com/the-sudden-d...
Screenshot of a poster that reads ADVOCACY ALERT CDC HIV Prevention Funding is at Risk! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Division of HIV Prevention is facing severe funding cuts within the next 48-72 hours. These cuts threaten essential programs that provide HIV prevention, treatment, and education to our community-putting countless lives at risk. Call your U.S. Senators and Representatives and urge them to say NO to CDC HIV funding cuts! & U.S. Capitol Switchboard Senate: 202-224-3121 House: 202-225-3121
They won’t stop until they’ve destroyed the entire US Public Health infrastructure. Please call your representatives.

Even if you think you’re not perpetuating harmful stigma saying a former heroin user can’t be in charge of HHS (you are, and I know active heroin users who would do great), it’s lazy (and a logical fallacy) to attempt to discredit someone for using substances rather than for their actions and words.
Blaming the border for overdoses ignores the real crisis: a unregulated drug supply. The reality is that fentanyl meets demand from Americans, but it’s being produced and distributed in ways that make it far more dangerous. Criminalization won’t stop overdoses—public health and regulation will.
Not for nothing but everyone realizes that these teenagers and 20 somethings who have complete access to the Treasury payment source code are now #1 espionage recruitment targets for Russia and China, right?
This is so good.

James Harvey III, Tuskegee airman, leader of the team that won the US military's first aerial gunnery competition for combat aviators. AKA, Top Gun. James Harvey is a handsome Black man in WW2 uniform with an indomitableble look of calm confidence.

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history:
In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun."
The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen.
So they refused to announce a winner🤡

They have now passed it along to Devlin. So special to have this family story and this piece of American history from an American hero and Congressional Gold Medal awardee. The book is dedicated “To children everywhere who study hard to learn to read” and “in memory of…

Seems like a good time to share this (from 2022)
#DevlinJames read a book about the #TuskegeeAirmen. Turns out my mom and stepdad met MSgt. Ezra M. Hill, Sr., “The Singing Tuskegee Airman,” at an airport in 2009. He autographed his children’s book, The Black Red Tail Angels, for them.

The Finance Committee of the US Senate will meet starting at 10AM ET this Wednesday, January 29th to consider the nomination of RFK Jr. to be the Secretary of HHS.
It’s all-hands-on-deck now. We need to flood the Capitol with calls. Get friends, family, colleagues involved.

Listen up.
Trump has always craved admiration and respect from those who he saw as smarter than him.
Manhattan wouldn’t give it to him, so he went to Silicon Valley.
