For every complaint I have about LA, I’d have 2 or 3 anywhere else I’ve ever lived. Not that any of those places were bad, LA just gets the gold star, even factoring in the obnoxious cost of living and ridiculous traffic.

Start seeing politicians for what they are: Tools (most of the time, in more ways than one). They are a vote for the type of policies you want to see. They are not thought-leaders, trend setters, taste makers, nor do they dictate the Overton window. WE do that.

A Tale of Two Countries
California Dems are really crushing it so far in the Governor’s race with a bully nobody likes, a sex pest nobody likes, and a billionaire nobody likes. Killer job per usual.
Looking at some recent events in the US it seems like a good time for a reminder of that old-age wisdom that “those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.”
So TRUE! “A man burned down an entire warehouse out of complete desperation of not being paid enough to survive. Every headline you see is about how much property was damaged, not one iota about the living wage crisis that is bringing people to this level of desperation.”
The last stage of grief is acceptance. I’ve reached that stage with the US…
We shouldn’t be trying to save the US, we should be trying to completely reinvent it.
