#FreelanceFriends have a wonderful week! Thanks for the tips on mindset practices. Staying positive, but realistic is necessary!

I also like to remind myself that things have a way of working themselves out. If something is (or isn't) meant to happen, it will (or won't) happen. But we still have to put in the effort, either way. #FreelanceFriends

It’s fine to feel fear and lack, but the secret is not to stay there too long. When you shift your mindset to recognizing opportunities, you become empowered and excited to see what’s next. #FreelanceFriends

A3: With everything that's going on in the world, it's easy to get down. There are a lot of headwinds. I try to remind myself that I can only control what I do. Some days it's easier. Some days it's harder.

My mindset is concerned. The year started slow. My mantra now: Do something every day to move my business forward. Micro-actions count. #FreelanceFriends

There are days where I feel like I've got very little accomplished. Then I fill out my sheet and I'm like, huh, I guess I did more than I thought.

I really enjoy water aerobics - you can move your body in ways that are hard to do without the water support as you age. And the water is a natural resistance intensifying the benefits of each effort. And the sweat all washes away - if you get that warm in a cool pool. #FreelanceFriends

A2. Singing is my normal mind-set reset - Doing so outloud provides physical benefits too. A perk of work-from-home, who cares what you sound like!

It’s amazing what a difference morning exercise can make! But swimming anytime is wonderful. Enjoy!

A1 Today is a rest, recover, reset day, so a ‘be gentle to me‘ mood. Unfortunately, the glitches with this platform are frustrating me (probably more than normal).

Mindset Shift: From Fear and Lack to Confidence and Abundance This week, I was challenged to think about a situation with a new mindset. My therapist pointed out my language indicated fear when, really, I was just feeling overwhelmed. Soon, my thoughts had sh…

I shared this blog post on social media, and @sandyhubbard.bsky.social mentioned it might make a good chat topic. The title is "Mindset Shift: From Fear and Lack to Confidence and Abundance", so that's what we're talking about this week!

A3 As an outsider you sometimes see opportunities that clients miss. Also helps if your idea makes them look good.

The best feedback? “Great idea. Let’s do this!”

Sometimes you just have to slog through it. Look at 10 things that don’t work to find the 1 that does.

But for this you need to get paid. After all, the client is getting paid to do this. You should be too. #FreelanceFriends

It’s in Judges in the Bible and the credit only to the man is in the retelling in Hebrews.

Also there are plenty of examples of ‘meek and docile’ women actually master-minding … everything. Everyone has much to offer, pity society sometimes fails to value fundamental efforts.

I remember my husband coming out of an IT interview disgusted. There was no job, they just wanted to pick his brain for solutions to their issue. Delicate balance between legitimate inquiries and stealing intellectual property. Guess there’s nothing new under the sun!

What about the guy who wouldn’t go into battle unless Deborah came with him? In the patriarch renditions, he gets the credit, but the original story makes it clear Deborah was the judge (leader)...
