JUST IN: Judge Friedman has rejected the Pentagon’s revised press policy, saying it flouted his earlier order and represents a bid by Hegseth and the Trump admin to “dictate” coverage, what he calls “the mark of an autocracy, not a democracy.” ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/show...
Side by side map of vote shares by county in Wisconsin, for 2024 presidential election and April 2026 Supreme Court seat election
I know it's risky to read much into state-level elections, but the difference in these two maps is pretty striking. The left shows county-level votes for Trump and Harris in 2024 in Wisconsin. The right shows the results of yesterday's Supreme Court race, where the Democrat won in a landslide.
Voters in Waukesha, Wisconsin — a Republican-leaning Milwaukee suburb — just elected a Democrat as mayor, according to The Associated Press.
Alicia Halvensleben, the Democratic president of the city's Common Council, defeated Scott Allen, a result that could signal a political shift in the suburbs.
In a recent homily, Pope Leo XIV, the first U.S.-born pontiff, said the Christian mission had often been “distorted by a desire for domination, entirely foreign to the way of Jesus Christ.”

I cannot even fathom the elated high-fives at Nutella HQ right now.
Trying to hold on to the hopeful message of Easter after spending the day with family in WI.
Then I get home and see that the profane Easter morning message from the president was not fake (kudos to NYT for printing it).
Then I read about this young couple:

Frog and Toad gleefully look at Toad's garden, where little green plants are sprouting. From "The Garden" In *Frog and Toad Together*
“Toad, Toad, wake up,” said Frog. “Look at your garden!”
Toad looked at his garden. Little green plants were coming up out of the ground.

“Blow it up” does not inspire confidence.
Great question. The problem, of course, is that every other journalist in the room didn't keep asking it until they got an answer.
Wow, very blunt language from Pope Leo to those who wage war, as the Iran war enters its second month. Trump admin officials, in particular SecDef Hegseth, have invoked God and Jesus frequently to justify their actions. This is a scathing statement from the pope ahead of Easter.
Immigrants weren’t just filling existing jobs; they were helping create them. That’s Econ 101: jobs are not a fixed pie. More people means more customers, more demand, more businesses expanding, and yes, more hiring.
Viktor Orban is waging cognitive warfare on a scale no one else has tried before. "Emotions are high because the stakes are high. If he succeeds, he will once again blaze a path that others will follow. And if he loses, an era comes to an end."

If you only watched Fox News over the weekend, you didn't hear about President Trump's widely condemned reaction to Robert Mueller’s death.
Fox has mentioned Mueller's death at least 6 times on TV without ever quoting Trump's "I'm glad he's dead" post... www.cnn.com/2026/03/22/m...
