Been reading through info from the AI in Democracy Movements website. It speaks to organised movements, but I see plenty of applications for individuals just wanting to know what they can do and where they can find good information. ash.harvard.edu/ai-and-democ...

I’ll be singing ‘Get Outta My Way’ as I do.
Actual footage of me walking to work the day after seeing Kylie Minogue.
I've been reading Erica Chenoweth's (Academic Dean, Harvard Kennedy School) work on mobilisation during times of democratic backsliding. I appreciated their analysis of current events and insight into how civil society can save the day when institutional checks and balances no longer can.
With DEI initiatives being culled around the US, I realised I have a lot of room to better understand how organisations implement them. This is a helpful description from the Harvard Business Review, with plenty of points to reflect on where I and organisations I work with are at.
I feel gross every time I look at the news. Trying to do one thing every day to push back, or cut through the noise and understand, or build my resilience.

There would be no Stonewall - no “LGB” rights - without the “TQ+.” Especially the trans women of colour who were among the first to stand up. This doesn’t erase their legacy. But it is cruel.
To our trans, gender diverse, & queer siblings: We remember. We see you. We stand with you. 🏳️⚧️
If you immediately started calling the Gulf of Mexico the "Gulf of America" because someone told you it was it's new name, YOU ARE VERY CAPABLE OF RESPECTING TRANS PEOPLE'S NAMES & PRONOUNS.
I realise the first Pride was a riot. All I have for today are a glitter beard, 22-inch drum, and rage.
May our unapologetic loudness be acceptable to the queer forebears. #midsumma
Honestly I don't remember *anything* remotely like this ever happening in those Schoolhouse Rock videos
