A truly quixotic endeavour in an interview with Councillor CarGuy, I’m sure!
(I missed the live, will be getting to the podcast today)

The Premier being unaware of FCM's green fund even though it has existed nearly as long as his party and has been discussed by Regina's council many times in the past is...extremely on-brand.

Almost as though they recognize others in the room might think it crazy to spend $3 bil on forcing the continued use of the worst greenhouse gas emitting power source and want to constantly redirect attention! 'Thermal' is such a blatant attempt to obfuscate what they're actually talking about.
Fucking hell yeah dogg.
Crazy someone would think it’s hard. I didn’t have to do anything, my hair got lost all on its own.
Can’t imagine a more incorrect way to look at this specific piece of media.
For once, I believe him. I bet he spends a lot of his free time sorting everything into their own itemized bags. You have to pass the time somehow.
"Guys, this needs to sound smarter. How can we make it snootier?"
"Doesn't that guy from the tv show Frasier say 'Indeed' after every sentence? He seems smart. What if we threw a couple of those in there?"
If you've seen any of the AI-slop April Fools "jokes" by a local radio station, you will know AI can rush to the bottom in a hurry.
But metaphorically speaking, is the implication that brown horses make white horses less effective as horses?
"Oh no, the world is becoming slightly less focused on giving me and my fellow cloistered, limp dicked, small-minded crackers everything we want without hesitation or barrier! Lock up anyone who might actually be interesting or have the safety and well-being of others in mind!"
What the fuck is up with these insane sickos? This shit is maniacal. First offence punishable by up to a year in jail? Little is a perfect name for this small-minded fascist bigot. Eat shit, Brad!

My favourite and arguably the BEST Vonnegut story!
It is very different, and also me sticking with what I know at this point. I think it's literally the one time I've paid for an app. Or at least the one time I paid for an app and didn't regret it.
When I'm really cranking out copy I use Omm Writer! Full screen only to minimize distraction, very soothing/pastoral backgrounds, and optional ambient soundscapes to help you lock in. I've had it since I think 2010 or so, did a bunch of music writing and a couple NaNoWriMos with it. ommwriter.com
Can't wait for the Mandryk take on this week.
And I’m sorry - the one time he actually drags out the rule book and it clearly states the Premier was out of order, his ruling is that it’s fine, the Premier can break the rules?
HOGWASH. Grow a spine.
The milquetoast speaker who has almost never actually enforced a rule has suddenly realized that meekly asking people to behave and saying he considers them all his friends and they should want to behave (a thing that actually happened recently) hasn’t been impactful? I for one am shocked.

Oh heck yeah my council doggs it’s on
Can't recommend this newsletter enough! I add to my to-read list every time she puts out a newsletter, often multiple items. She has great taste! I try to read more female and non-binary authors; my local book store has a "weird girl lit" section, and I've read most of it, largely thanks to Maris.
If I was a ratepayer I would not trust that the investment-hungry provincial government that signed onto a $12 billion deal would have my best interests at the forefront. Maybe hand this one over to SARM (not that there's much difference between SARM and this government), if only for the optics?
I understand they're the higher order of government and there's nobody else who can do it...but it seems conflict-y to me to have the province place someone on the Sherwood Council when they're actively invested in an enormous business venture happening there.

Sequel out this weekend!
I've watched 'Nirvanna The Band The Show The Movie' three times in three days and I don't see me slowing down any time soon. This this is nothing short of a miracle!
Saskatchewan's Minister for Pretending Coal is a Good Thing While Never Actually Saying the Word Coal and Instead Using The Term 'Legacy Thermal Generation' As If We Don't All Know What That Means is also attempting to burn up my eyeballs with today's outfit.
Of course our government, always desperate to be seen as cutting edge and "innovative," would be all-in on a data centre nobody in this province is asking for. "But it will be the biggest of its kind in Canada!" Cool! We can brag about making the biggest mistake!

It's a great big world and there's nothing out there but problems, woo hoo.

I'm one of many professors quoted in this report from Alice Speri. I really appreciate The Guardian taking an angle which has basically eluded every other major outlet.
