To be Frank…. this sounds like General Practice
Your occasional reminder @rthonwesstreeting.bsky.social @skinnock.bsky.social that there are 6300 Neighbourhood Health Centres within walking distance of 85% of the population
FUND GENERAL PRACTICE
Matthew Swindells, chairman of Chelsea & Westminster, who are touted as the Palantir success story, was also an adviser to Palantir at the time the trust started using the Palantir software.
The figures produced also don’t show better performance than any non-Palantir London trust.
This couldn’t happen here!
Palantir Technologies has been aggregating sensitive data from various federal agencies to create profiles of American citizens. Their platform is used to merge information from multiple sources, which critics argue could lead to misuse of personal data.

Operose sending emails to GP Partners - come and join us!
The same Operose who Samantha Jones was CEO
The one that employed PAs at the expense of GPs
The one owned by a hedge fund whose owner is now based in Dubai
It’s a corporate takeover of GP
Practices aided by Government cuts

GP Partners are receiving emails from Operose
Inviting them to look at succession planning with Operose taking over their practices
Plan:
1. Starve NHS GPs of £
2. Continuous poor contracts
3. Appoint former CEO in DHSC
4. Use NHSE data base to contact partners
5. Takeover
Is this the grand plan?

‘It’s a sort of creeping corporatisation of general practice, which I think in the end will basically cause worse care,' said @thedauk.bsky.social GP spokesperson @drstevetaylor.bsky.social.

There is no evidence that GP referrals are the cause of the waiting list issues
Referrals were not up but hospital treatments are still a problem
Advice & Guidance funding has now been ‘capped’ by adding it to core rather than paid separately
Cynical ploy to cut £ to GPs for work done
GP referrals will now be ‘assessed’ by a ‘Consultant led’ Single point of access
1 in 4 is the target to reject
GPs & patients must insist on Jess’s Rule in referrals
Any rejected referral must have a Consultant name & GMC number for accountability
This is the only way to ensure patient choice
Twice I’ve been referred to rheumatologist by GP. Saw a physiotherapist at the GP who also referred. Three times seen a physiotherapist to “triage”. Been referred again, and yet again the appointment is for a physiotherapist. The level of gatekeeping is what is causing delays. Two years now.

Data shows referrals are static but treatment and reviews haven’t recovered
A&G is up but they have decided they will no longer fund any increase by adding the funding to core services (ie its capped)
The cynic would say they don’t want to pay for it appropriately
