the word "full" there is so funny. 100% of 25% of compliance! incredible...

a beautiful painting by anders zorn. it features a guy on a boat, a woman on a dock and the sea under a cloudy sky. it's so detailed and textured that it's easier to conceive of it as a photo than as a watercolor.
saw this irl the other day... nothing makes sense anymore...
a new frontier for gaming...
with a bunch of scraps!!
that's fair, bye
there are many candidates for the epitaph on the end of history's headstone, but right now "we raised our kids to be better people than us; unfortunately, they were" feels pretty apt
there isn't a clear ceiling to intelligence or military spending that makes it stop being useful; just diminishing returns.
they said it themselves. their excuse was that they were just looking for hostages, and i guess they can always say that they're not responsible for what israel does with the intel.
israel always welcomes military assistance; why wouldn't it?
he's the defence minister; everything he does is defence. providing intel to bombings of civilians? defence.

a british drone was seen in lebanon, seemingly coordinating with the israeli attacks that followed the supposed ceasefire. they did the same in gaza last year; they provide intel to israeli bombings while keeping their hands "clean"

palestine action is a non-violent activist group that was categorized as a terrorist group by the uk parliament
uk law makes support for a terrorist org punishable by years of prison
this led to thousands arrests in peaceful protests meant to highlight the absurdity of the law
same, have a nice day
meanwhile, in britain, thousands of people from all walks of life risk years of imprisonment for publicly supporting palestine action.
something that i don't remember the article mentioning is that there are soooo many more things to protest now. attention is divided. i know some wonderful people from minnesota who also protest genocide in palestine (tho that's perhaps considered less newsworthy at this point)
not all of their messages, but the anti-war message that the article is looking for. when protesting the war on iran, students join no kings protests.
ok i've now read the article and it's actually great at dismantling your point, i recommend it. university crackdowns, the difficulty of direct confrontation outside of a campaign trail, "no kings" protests have absorbed their messages and participation, etc. also implied: selective media silence.
university students never protested harris; they protested their universities' investment into israel in the middle of a genocide. you're talking about like 20 people outside the dnc expressing their disappointment about another democrat dismissing human rights.
idk, i wouldn't go out of my way to shout "you're killing jews!!!" to hitler. he might even thank me! that's why i blocked vance and moved on to criticise people who at least claim to share values with me.
why would we ever unblock him
that implies the existence of $0 firearms
