It's time for change. Legalise cannabis.

It's time for change. Legalise cannabis.

It's time to end the failed and deeply damaging ‘war on drugs’.

Scotland needs an evidence-based approach to drugs that prioritises public health and public safety, not more criminalisation.

Asked about JK Rowling’s opposition to trans rights, Dugdale said: “I have a huge respect for JK Rowling. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting her before and I think her story and how she came to be this prolific, incredible children’s writer in this city as a single mum writing in a cafe is phenomenal and an inspiration to so many women across the world.

“I think she’s been a really powerful political advocate [for] improving the lot of single mums, making a case for tackling poverty and inequality in all its forms, and there is absolutely a place for her in public life to share her experiences and tell her story and make a difference.”

You think JK Rowling is a powerful advocate Kezia, a billionaire who has funded and advocated for so much hate and pain to the members of your community, both trans and cis.

You've already failed as chair of stonewall and you haven't even started. Deeply disappointing and just a massive let down.

I’m an old enough trans person to remember that fight. HRC told trans people to essentially wait our turn because they felt they had a better chance of passing a sexual orientation only ENDA. The bill didn’t pass and HRC is still struggling to win back a lot of us elder queers today.

If Stonewall would like a preview of what happens to major national LGBT orgs that begin to hedge a bit on their support for trans people, I would like to point them to what happened to HRC in 2007 in the US when they supported a trans exclusive Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

If you hate someone for something that hurts absolutely no one, maybe go sit down and reevaluate your life for a while.

If you look up transmedicalist in the dictionary it’s just a picture of Brianna Wu’s face.

Just wait until we tell you that we set fuel prices in litres and still measure miles per gallon as our metric for vehicle fuel efficiency

Why would you drop this thread on my timeline and not immediately link me to a story you’ve written that is exactly this?

Have you no decency‽

I don't recall any previous transformative technologies that had to be sold to the public so hard. No one in 1999 was going, "Guys. Cell phone? It's coming, whether we like it or not. I think it's important, FOR WOMEN ESPECIALLY, to learn about cell phone. So that we're not left behind!!"

Transmedicalism is just repackaged gold star lesbian discourse and it serves nobody.

It’s standard human social behaviour. Create an in group and an out group because it makes you feel safe with the in group. Mean Girls was a case study in common human behaviours.

*shrug* I’ve been out for almost 2 decades now and was raised in my own queerness by cockroach queers who taught me a hell of a lot about how you fight in solidarity for everyone. Because of that I’ve always been just as confused by transmeds as I have by nimby conformist lgbt folks.

Crit is also like….provably someone who does a whole hell of a lot for the community? And is well known for doing so?

Maybe don’t go after someone who is known for engaging with people’s bad opinions and meticulously breaking them down with facts and evidence.

The above post but with the original and unremoved skeet wherein why from the Blue sky team says. Looking forward to what the AI sucks. Crowd actually has to say about this one.

I like bluesky because it feels so much like tumblr

1. barely works
2. userbase is annoying (affectionate)(not that affectionate)
3. being queer on here feels like I’m actively participating in ruining some tech company’s investment

Sites go down all the time, but BlueSky have kinda dug their own grave by being smug about GenAI because now everyone just assumes the site’s a vibecoded mess whenever it breaks

A comic with 2 panels. The first is a picture of an anthropomorphic tiger with long blue hair and glasses and someone shouting “Kaylee, why can’t you be more serious?!” at her off screen. The second panel is of a realistic looking tiger with the same blue hair and glasses and someone shouting “Too serious!!” at her from off screen.
