guys, this is how you lose the time war

a lot of great advice along the lines of "write anything don't worry if bad." and that's right.
but because i'm contrarian, an alternative. don't write. let it build pressure. let it bother you and drive you insane. when it spills out it'll be a relief or compulsion more than something to fear.*
Phoeo of a cute cat behind a super market toy set looking at the camera, with the silly caption of "Khajiit has wares if you have coin" which is a known The Elder Scrolls line.
Khajiit has wares if you have coin
I am chronically online and have somehow missed all of this, but I have definitely seen that photo of him memed somewhere and didn't know the reference.

Fuck you
they were stupid
so unnecessary
and so annoying
This is a hard question because I want to write and share what I've written.
However, I also have a backlog of sewing projects, books to read, and more BG3 playthroughs.
If you've got a repair shop in your area, they might be able to help you. Or if you know a mechanical engineer. There are tricks to loosening screws like drilling a tiny hole onto the screw itself and then tapping it with a reverse thread, which then might help you remove it.
HAMARA STACKER DID NOTHING WRONG
A bright green book with black title text and a red scythe. Chain Gang All Stars by Nana Kwame Adjei-Brenyah "America's new Hunger Games"
This book was very good.
Chain Gang All Stars should be an anime. I don't think the over the top battles would work in live action.
I just finished Chain Gang All Stars and it was fantastic.
This blurb sounds like almost the exact opposite of my WIP, where an academic type character tries to stop an imposter god emperor π
The very bisexual twink flatmate who enjoyed hook-ups and who kept it all secret from his very religious Christian fiancΓ©.
I'm sure there's a romcom there.
(Friendly guy. Completely technologically illiterate. Could not tolerate spicy food.)
anyway i think they should send mr. vance to more contested election sites. i think it went really well.
(WIP)
Going on a quest to destroy an imposter god is really about the friends you made along the way.
That's good!
I hope it works out well. I live in the wrong hemisphere to visit your shop, but fingers crossed for a successful opening!
Do you have to do any remodeling to the shop or is it good to go?

I'm gonna use this post, which calls out a real problem, to once again mention the two organizations I've given to:
The Palestine Children Relief Fund:

After more than a decade as a book editor, I've finally nailed down the single biggest gap between solid writing and truly great writing.
It all comes down to what the author DOESN'T say.
Until you see Karl Urban's hair, it's not always easy to separate them, and even then there are problems. Like, you'd this the below picture is fantasy, but I'm told it's sci-fi.
(For legal reasons, this is a joke. Mostly.)
I agree, it's not ideal. Just saying that it's possible. But a software tool that does it is certainly better. It would be nice if journals took responsibility for it and checked before sending a paper for review.
Something simple like that would work. Or just checking that the DOI corresponds to the paper title and authors. Or the editor or peer reviewers could manually check that the citations are real. I think now if I got a paper to review with fake citations, I would auto-reject.
Bluesky was nicer when there were fewer people imo
Blacksky and other orgs are rapidly developing their own ATproto platforms and there is a lot of interesting stuff going on there. So there definitely is investment.
Harrow and Gideon cosplayers. Gideon is holding a longsword.
Had fun cosplaying Gideon Nav at Armageddon today! My cosplay was a mishmash of my Kylo Ren outfit, my Hux wig, and super cheap aviator sunglasses.
Thank you to this random Harrow who let me hold her sword π€
I think we need to celebrate the death of Sora a bit more. This is a technology that, just MONTHS AGO, we were being told was going to literally destroy Hollywood and Disney was going to give them a BILLION DOLLARS and NONE OF THAT EVEN REMOTELY HAPPENED
I read the first page Project Hail Mary in a bookstore and couldn't stand the writing style. Other people seem to be into it, but it's definitely not for me. I'll watch the movie at some point though, since I did enjoy The Martian film.
