She had scleroderma and cystic fibrosis when I met her in 2013. I always knew she wouldn't be here forever, but the cancer after the double lung transplant was a cruelty I can't get over.
She left today. I miss her. The hole in my heart knows I can never buy more time.
But I wish I could have.
I met first met Lana at a party in Los Angeles. She knew fabulous gays and people who created board games and she always had purple hair.
We bonded immediately & promptly made plans to share fruit & secrets. She made me a fancy tea party when I had surgery. She was always funny. She loved her cats.
