Not really; I remember a documentary series on Netflix, in which some former A&F employees spoke about the tactics the store used to keep certain types of people away.

RIP Andy Kershaw. A huge influence on my music tastes, and it was a real honour to be on the same DJ billing as him at Africa Oyé in Liverpool eleven years ago.

I love 'Slang of Ages'! It reminds me of the second time I saw SD live, and Walter sang 'Daddy Don't Live in That New York City No More'.

And not once did I hear “The team meets for a brainstorming session in Gloria Estefan.” *

I think of the reasons Twenty Twenty Six didn’t work for me was the lack of Bromptons in Miami.*

I reckon the Wireless organisers wanted to can it this year but couldn’t decide how to. Then one of them watched The Producers and thought, “Hmm, I wonder…?”

I call BS. You don’t cancel a whole festival because one act is banned from the country hosting it.

Trying to be a good parent here…
At what age is it appropriate to respond with “That’s life, kid; life’s not fair” when your offspring yells “That’s not fair” at you?

Random question for the writers: Whatever happened to NaNoWriMo? I used to take part and won a few times (I even used to book annual leave from work in November). Now I can’t even find information about it online. It seems to have just vanished. Anyone know what happened?

This one was my starting point - probably around the same time as you. Then I got Donald’s Kamakiriad, and then The Royal Scam on cassette (from the stall that used to sell used records at Greenbelt). Then 2 Against Nature, and then the box set with all the albums. I borrowed EMG from the library.
