seriously, I can't comprehend that it was possible to transition VMs seamlessly from Core to Scale, which literally changed the baseline operating system, but it ISNT possible to transition VMs between different versions of Scale????

- VMs and apps defaulting to store in dot-hidden directories that don't get backed up with replication
- still missing features that were in Core, like macvlan for apps

am I right to be a little upset about recent changes to TrueNAS?

- breaking apps from k8s to pure docker, and AGAIN for IP binding
- breaking VMs by transitioning away from pure QEMU, adding pointless abstraction that makes it less functional
- removing the REST API
