AIUI the opt in emails have been going out over the last 24 hoursโฆ Iโve received several across different inboxes and account/orgs.
What?! Fake? I thought it was satire. Damn that fake satire! โ
As a person building a thing, anytime I see a similar thing bought by a large company like Google or Meta, I'm delighted. 1) I'll never see that competitor's product again and 2) big companies are nervous about the things I'm excited about
In an exception to what I usually consider to be professional animal abuseโฆ good boy! ๐ถ
โณ T minus 1 week until the PyCon AU CFP closes (29 March AoE). Have you submitted?

The soundtrack though. It hurts. Their previous OST was banger, and featuring Nestor was 11/10 awesome. The new one feelsโฆ flat, uninspired, outsourced and underwhelming. And then when you listen to it itโs irritating af. New one is 1/10, and that 1 is for the brevity.
I wrote a thing for PyCon AU on being funny.
We want everyone to be able to craft an interesting and entertaining talk that enthralls the audience, without missing the mark on the intended impact of any jokes.
Please give this a read if you intend on using memes, jokes or satire in your proposals to #pyconau
