I do especially appreciate Bob, though — because he consistently validates the extra effort of exploring complex themes, layering worldbuilding and pushing your craft (by proving there are folks out there who value that richness).
Yeah we don’t do heaps of super direct references like that, but that one was quite intentional. BOOK ONE in particular is so much about their relationship, it seemed right to do a little shout-out to one of the most significant works in the mother/daughter drama canon!
