Trump being Trump, ignorant and out of control. The entire Congress and Judicial branches ignoring their oaths and refusing to check him as the Constitution demands. Outright corruption spreading as the elite buy immunity and power.

Anyway, remember to vote.

OK, Memoirs of a Geisha must complete the trifecta-shot in Japan in the Japanese language with Japanese actors.

He certainly seemed scary to us bg on the Primary Colors set here in NY. And a friend who was on the crew of Closer in London told me that Nichols ordered the firing of three out of the four stand-ins and the remaining one was put in charge of drilling the others at learning the dialogue every day.

I was at the first preview with my mom. We got sent home at intermission because thr hydraulic thing lifting Chita Rivera from below the stage was on the fritz. My mother exchanged our tickets for the following August…and that’s when we got to see Liza with a Z as Roxie.

I was in a Broadway revival of The Member of the Wedding with Marybeth in 1975. It was a great honor to share the stage with her for the last five minutes of that play. I was 14. Marybeth inhabited the role of Frankie Addams so beautifully. She WAS Frankie. This is heartbreaking news.

I appreciate that Trump keeps reminding us that it's OK to dance on people's graves if you hate them. I feel like that's going to come in handy.

I agree with many of your picks but think you’re seriously underestimating the appeal of Sentimental Value. I loved every minute of it and so do, I suspect, a fairly large contingent of the voting bloc. That film will not go home empty handed on Sunday night.

Pachinko is a thing of beauty. That little boy who played Mozasu in Season 2 gave what I thought was the best performance by a child I’ve ever seen.

I’m loving your film haikus. I actually worked on Marty Supreme as one of the pen company men. Fifteen days of work and you can see me for 1.5 seconds when we are all sitting down to watch the tournament at Wembley (shot at the Barclays Center Arena in New Jersey, haha).

Sigh. Annoying that the company I hate appears to have beaten the company I resent slightly less for the right to purchase the company whose recent history and leadership I hate.

I worked at the Time Inc. photo department (alongside the fabulous Frank Vlastnik) from 2000-2002 cataloging Martha’s theatre and ballet photo collection. Martha was there to supervise but eventually left in a bit of a huff for some reason. I tremendously admired her work.

I guess because I clicked on something once in 2007, I get all these ads for "Clothes for men who are 5'8" and under," the tone of which is "Are you tired of having to steal clothes from dolls and children?"

I am 5'8" and I would like to testify that this is inventing a problem where none exists.

N.Y.C. Officials Reinstate Pride Flag at Stonewall After Federal Removal

This is the way. When they come at us, we come back at them twofold. Raise that Pride flag every time they take it down. If they prevent that, surround the park with Pride flags. Ruin their petty little lives until they shit rainbows. Never stop. www.nytimes.com/2026/02/12/n...

Racism has been central to Trump and his movement since he came down the escalator. He is a racist. His people are racists. His defenders are racists. His supporters are racists. His party is a party of racists. If they want to disprove that, they can. But it's important to know they don't want to.

Ah, Rob Rausch. One of the most effortlessly entertaining reality show people I’ve ever seen. Sexy, charming and way smarter than you’d think just to look at him. My god, he told off Michael Rapaport on camera for his misuse of the word “commiserating”!

Sir Ian McKellen performing a monologue from Shakespeare’s Sir Thomas More on the Stephen Colbert show. Never have I heard this monologue performed with such a keen sense of prescience. Nor have I ever been in this exact historical moment.TY Sir Ian, for reaching us once again.

I am tired of writing posts that essentially serve as obituaries for decency, quality, and merit. I hope we all survive long enough to write obituaries for the other stuff.

Trump's constant degradation of female reporters is unsurprising but the press corps' collective decision to treat it as background noise is actually kind of sickening
