So, while checking my subs this morning, I came across this short about a game called "Pragmata".

So, I am currently in the testing phase of perhaps making videos about my day-to-day activities in FFXIV.

Made a mock-up video and after it fully uploads, I'm going to send it to some friends to get their full opinions.

Then yeah, I gotta agree with Cad, that they're doing it specifically to infantilize and belittle.

Usually people like that have pretty severe insecurities. It can be rough to deal with, but not worth taking seriously if possible.

Question ...

I'm playing healer in a dungeon, and the Red Mage pulls a boss before the tank is ready. Red Mage nearly dies as a result.

Am I a bitch if I decide not to heal them?

Unfortunately, there's a LOT of people who genuinely act this way, especially with FFXIV nearing new expansion details, with Fanfest around the corner.

People may have been playing FFXIV longer than me.

But I've been playing the FF series longer than most people playing 14 have been alive.

Early in Endwalker, I remember saying how much I'd like Beastmaster to be in this game. I was told time and again how that would never happen.

I screenshotted that conversation.

The day Dawntrail was revealed at Fanfest in '23 ... I had a friend send those screenshots to those people.

I've been able to access it, but there does seem to be significant slowdown with it.

Apparently, they revealed that the last time this happened (a few days ago), it was the result of Bluesky's vibe-coded mess DDOS'ing itself.

The problem was likely not fixed.

Hell, everyone loves FF6, but compare the Ghestalian Empire to Figaro Castle, Doma Castle, Nikeah, Thamasa, and Narshe.

One of the most consistent things about FFXIV is the aesthetic inconsistency of the series being fully represented.

It's hilarious watching people complain about FFXIV's aesthetic inconsistencies in Dawntrail (modern tech, mainly).

Like ... did you all even PLAY the classic games? FF1 had a fucking space station, FF4 goes from epic high fantasy to tanks, robots, computers and space traveling mega-ships.

Instead of simply saying it ... I want to show it.

Genuinely fantastic video. I haven't been playing FFXIV all THAT long (since late 6.0), but I've been playing MMO's for over twenty years and so damn many people use the term without knowing what it means, asking for it with one breath and using it to insult the developers the next.
