Oh my god, this is one of the most trafficked bridges and sets of intersections in the state. This is peak efficiency and safety for what is a high accident and unsafe location.

No way. You’d need two, and all of the traffic studies made it clear this was a perfect candidate for a diverging diamond ESPECIALLY to get pedestrians across safely.

A piece of good news, we are getting Maine’s first diverging diamond!! This was discussed when I was on council and I am suuuuch a nerd for this stuff and can’t wait for it to be complete.
