Research by Gary Payne and Mark Pearson in School of Health Sciences @uniofnottingham.bsky.social explored the views of mental health nurse academics on the ‘specialism versus genericism’ debate and concluded that strong leadership is key to protect the future of the specialism.
No health without peace - something I very much believe in. Peace takes many forms, from the psychological to the global, and all the connections in between.

Welcome back Andrew. Sounds like a great presentation for the conference.
Please sign if you don’t agree with the University of Nottingham suspending the training of mental health and children’s nurses in Nottingham. This is going to have a huge impact on the care of vulnerable children and adults in Nottingham.

Comments from our brilliant new Dean here on proposed suspension and possible loss of #mentalhealth #child & #healthpromotion courses at the University of Nottingham.
Faced with a growing genericism of mental health nursing courses more should be done to develop curricula that prepares MH students more fully for practice.

Thanks again!
Exactly what I was looking for, and could not work out how to do! Thank you!
#Nottingham is a "city of literature", part of UNESCO's creative cities network. Proud of these public spaces and our local libraries.
I took the leap and am appreciating the calm here. Wish I knew what to recommend as well but am a novice.
(I am all about #mentalhealth #liberationhealth and #nursing if they're of interest).
Quoting my colleague Dr.Charley Baker... "Proud of this one...cowritten & including people with people with #livedexperience, students & newly qualified #mentalhealth #nurses."
