Standing professor sporting academic gown shakes hands (as a gesture of congratulation) with the fresh doctor sporting a formal tail coat. The scene is watched by five professors who sit at a table covered with red velvet.
Couple of months ago I had the pleasure to present James C. Fisher with his diploma at the University of Utrecht. It was a privilege to co-supervise (with Jan Biemans) James' brilliant thesis on the Japanese trust as legal transplant.
Sanity.
I have never considered him religious.
Religious? Is he?
Hot N Cold by Katy Perry is a fitting analysis of the Strait of Hormuz situation:
You're yes, then you're no
You're in, then you're out
You're up, then you're down
You're wrong when it's right
It's black, and it's white
We fight, we break up

Flight attendant: "A passenger is having a heart attack, we need your help!"
Me: "I make a big discursive footnote, that'll do it"
Legal scholarship without footnotes is like room without windows.

Some people think that I dislike the left, others think that I dislike the right, and there are those who think that I dislike the centre.
They are all spot on.
You want to post unpopular stuff? Try posting about comparative law. That should do it!
Finally, I am seeing the dome of the St Paul's Cathedral from the inside.
I hope he knows what he is doing. But it does not look like it.
Well, at least I don't have Rutte's job. Licking *that* arse can't be much fan. Then again, Rutte looks suspiciously happy. Is he a pervert or something?
Batman on roof
There's a weird geezer on the roof of the neighbouring building. Should I be worried?
