I find it SO weird how anime characters are so arbitrarily young when they look and act much older. Like... just why? Why ya gotta make it weird for no reason? Why does it not make ANY sense? The characters will look like this and then be like “I’m in eighth grade, and I’m 14 years old.”

If you’re a fan of David Lynch, you should know the work of Maya Deren — one of the most influential women in experimental & independent film. She made films in the 1940s in her mid 20s that are incredible to this day. She was young and brilliant and extremely visionary (She was also a total baddie)
