You KNOW I love and appreciate this!

If you paid even a penny in federal income tax last year, you paid more than:
Tesla
Southwest
Disney
Live Nation
HP
United
PayPal
CVS Health
Palantir
Citigroup
PG&E
3M
That's right. They paid $0 in federal income tax.
It's time for big corporations to pay their fair share.
I loved it, too. Lauren Wolk never disappoints.
Flew over my house. UGH.
I haven't been since Saturday, so probably someone already got it. I hope so!
There was a Vampirina there the other day! I hope you got it!
I left the Roman Catholic Church 16 years ago after 44 years of pretty devout practice. I am NOT going back. But I do like this pope and I'm enjoying watching him stand up and speak his truth.
You're not.
Terrified for the Iranian people. I have a children's writer friend who lives in Tehran. He has been privately posting daily updates on FB, and all I can think of is waking up one morning and he hasn't posted.
Meanwhile, on Earth, the president of the United States posts: “A whole civilization will die tonight.”
We can afford anything we want to pay for. We don't have universal healthcare because Americans with too much money don't want it.
That's gorgeous!
I'm watching All Creatures Great and Small, season 3. Feel free to join me if you like.
I wish I had a banana for my yogurt. That is my deep thought of the night.
I didn't see your earlier post. I would've sent so much love. Sending it now in celebration!
No, we don't. Give me Rosie the Robot Maid to do the dishes so I have more time to write.
Hey pal!
Brava!
I was having a LOT of anxiety this morning and changed my mind about attending NO KINGS. And then my 88 year old mom called and said she was going. If she could go, I could go. So I did. No pictures, but lots of singing!
I'm not sure I understand. The link is NYTimes and a quick Google search shows reports from CNN, USAToday, ABC News, etc. Are those not corporate media?
Oh, and the prologue to Canterbury Tales in Middle English and modern English.
A couple of Shakespeare sonnets, Recuerdo by Millay, Daffodils by Wordsworth. I think once they are in your head they are there to stay.
Yup.
Helluva Good French Onion is the bomb. Too bad so much had to be thrown out.
I like The Bulwark, Contrarian, NYTimes and Tangle. Most are slightly more conservative than my friends, who shoot me articles from other places, so I feel like I get a good broad take on most things.
Already cancelled, but when I tried, they kept giving me better and better deals, down to $1 a month, I think, before I convinced them I was really, truly cancelling.
I'm near the dead mall, so yep, warm yesterday! I even wore my jeans rolled up. :)
I'm not sure where you are in the area, but it's really pretty here. That said, I want it to look pretty for a while, then go away.
I have some writer friends who have written for this series, and I think the world-building was difficult, but also extremely fun and satisfying. That's the impression I've gotten, anyway.
Off to teach a class on The Nuts and Bolts of Children's Publishing with Hannah Barnaby. I love teaching and I love teaching with Hannah, so this should be fun.
