Reflecting on Remembrance Day on those lost and those who came home yet paid a price for us all in trauma and in pain.
Paul is a volunteer for WithYou in Dundee helping others with their addiction recovery. A veteran serving again and saving lives.

While our front line services need all the help they can get, Labour investment is being held up by the SNP.
Where is the money, John?

I have written to STV's Chief Executive calling on him to reverse the decision to sack journalists and end STV’s north of Scotland news programme.
Good quality, regional journalism is a fundamental part of our democracy which must be protected.
Almost a week on from the Banchory Beast and I’m still sore. A brilliant run and obstacle race with loads of NE folk running for charity. Our XParty team was depleted by illness but the Lab-Lib members got through it. We finished 45th out of 2500 @willierennie.bsky.social dragged me round.
Interactive Entertainment Scotland the new trade body dedicated to our video game industry, which launched last night.

A photo of Michael Marra MSP standing with an ME Action Scotland volunteer outside the Scottish Parliament. They are holding a red board that says 'Red Alert for ME, specialist support is needed now' and standing next to an ME Action Scotland banner.
Thanks to @michaeljmarra.bsky.social for joining us during #MEAwarenessWeek at #MillionsMissing Scotland 2025 and supporting our call for the urgent development of specialist support for people with ME.
Today was my members’ business debate on wraparound care for children with additional support needs.
The highlight was welcoming Leo, and his mum Nicola, to Parliament. With summer approaching we have to make holidays real by letting families plan ahead.
In 18 years Dundee GP clinics down 25%. GP patient lists up by 37%.

Huge job losses at University of Dundee are unacceptable and self-defeating.
For a Minister to claim they were shocked is indicative of someone who is not listening or does not understand the scale of the crisis.
We need real leadership right now.

The First Minister cannot be shocked by the scale of the University of Dundee job cuts. He has known what was coming for weeks.
What will his government actually now do to save jobs?
My parliamentary motion celebrating the life of the legendary Dick McTaggart, his astounding achievements and the remarkable legacy he will leave behind.
I welcome the announcement of support for the University of Dundee.
Without a published recovery plan, it is too early to say whether this funding will be sufficient to secure the University’s long-term future.
I have requested a meeting with the Minister for Higher Education.
The question is whether the SNP can get the desperately needed money Labour has provided in the budget to the front lines of public services.
Judging by their record, I won't be holding my breath.
Pleased to address Scottish Labour Conference this afternoon and announce our plans for a Scottish Treasury.
A Scottish Labour Government will get a grip of the public finances and deliver value for every pound of taxpayers’ money.
That is the new direction we will take together.
New from me on Substack: we have five years to end new cases of HIV and we must not fail. Let's get it done.

The Labour Government has committed £2.6m for the V&A Dundee - in addition to £20m of transformational funding for Dundee.
