I wasn’t meant to live my life in the shadows of shame. I have a disability and I’m not a failure. That’s all.

I checked the “yes, I have a disability” box on a form for the first time yesterday. This was a huge step for me b/c I’ve struggled to believe I have a legitimate disability. Even after my diagnosis, I struggled to believe that my brain is simply different and I’m not a failure at everything.

I don’t write because I need you to read it. I write because I need to tell my story.

If you’re an audiobook listener and struggling to finish a book, try changing the narrator and see if that helps!

This might be controversial, and sorry if it offends anyone, buuuuut: I switched from the Andy Serkis narration to the Rob Inglis narration of Fellowship, and it’s miles better. 😬 I love Andy and most of his work, but his audiobook recordings are too much for me! 🙉

This year’s Grammys were near perfect!! It was a show for the gays, the girls, and Black culture!! It was funny, charming, and heartwarming! Beyoncé finally got her album of the year!! Plus all of the live performances were simply EPIC!! 🤩

Happy Black History Month! Here is my favorite story about a Black American you may not know about: Robert Smalls. He commandeered a confederate ship and sailed himself, his family, and the other enslaved crew and their families to freedom. THROUGH waters controlled by the Confederacy.
