If they've actually figured out how to make parking decks translucent, who are we to argue? Do the cars also become see-through when they are inside?

5 women, one women's team, and one mixed team have won Olympic gold medals for Team USA at these Olympics. Meanwhile, just one individual male athlete and no men's teams have won gold medals for Team USA

Makes you wonder: when will America start investing in men's sports

The witch refuses winter as a sadness. Each season sings it own sorrows. Frost-brittle field still hold their magics. The sky is still a drama of nephomantic omens. There is no lack of thresholds. I shall save my tears for the wounding of the land. – #EmilyCBanting, 1982 #WitchSky

We noticed that so far you have fall, summer, and spring mysteries so it seems fitting! Can send handmade hats and mittens to set.

Made it to the theater and the whole family loved it. Question: will the next one be set during the winter?

I was readying The Only Good Indians on the subway today, and my facial expressions must have been really something for my fellow passengers.

I've been assuming the point is to get neighbors out and connecting with each other, but don't know if it's really doing that.

Up in Ward 4, Fort Slocum Park has been mowed one (1) time all year. Some of the green space around the Park hasn’t been touched at all. Presumably because the NPS staff responsible for upkeep and maintenance were laid off.

‘The Spirit of Liliuokalani,’ as the statue is known, is a 6-foot sculpture by artist Marianna Pineda. In her left hand, she holds three significant documents that represent her accomplishments to multiple constituents: the sheet music for “Aloha ‘Oe”; a page of the 1893 Hawai‘i constitution; and the Kumulipo, the ancient creation chant that she translated into English during her imprisonment in 1895. (Imada)

The Queen’s statue is between the State Capitol and ʻIolani Palace. By being in that particular site, the Queen is not “simply keeping an eye on the Legislature”, but she walks amongst the people. (Manalo-Camp)

Why should I write better when a machine can do it for me?
Because actually no one can do it for you, because your voice is unique among all the people on earth. Siri never petted a horse's neck. Alexa has never been ghosted by the captain of the football team. But you have lived, your heart is beating, you have suffered, and you have something important to say. It's a human's job, to use words, and whatever job you give to a machine, that part of your brain goes dark. Maybe it's worth it when it comes to remembering phone numbers and directions, but when that part of your brain that uses words goes dark, that's a vast area that's very close to your soul. Don't let some internet platform convince you that what you have to say and create isn't worthwhile. Words are the echo of your soul. Honing that echo matters.

The amount of people that are going to sit back and wait for "someone, somewhere" to swoop in and "save" the US from itself is scary.

If you're reading this and know you would stand shoulder to should with a union sanitation employee from Philly, you need to stand up NOW for D.C. and everyone.
