Those nations that have accepted the invitation to the Board of Peace are a *lot* less democratic than those that have rejected it.
Oklahoma, I'm coming to see you! Come see me 🙂 Each event is unique so come to as many as you like. Please note, you MUST get a ticket to the Sally's List event. See the Facebook event page for details. @shortle.bsky.social @aselrod.bsky.social

Happy to share my new co-authored pub in @bmc.springernature.com BMC Public Health (w/ an amazing team of medical researchers) "Mental Health and beliefs about abortion access following changes to reproductive healthcare laws in 2022: findings from Oklahoma": pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC...
An interesting project that seeks a new set of liberal answers to the social disintegration that MAGA keeps using as their excuse to purge immigrants:
Understandable. Find your community, get organized, and try (as much as humanly possible) to avoid feeding into hyper-partisanship. Git it!
I recommend supporting Sally's List, a progressive nonprofit dedicated to training progressive women candidates for office in the state. It's also a great idea to get involved with the Democratic party in your town. If you prefer Independent style, get involved with Let's Fix This.

2026 is the year we level up The Pulaski Institution in our mission to promote democracy in the heartlands.
I’m so proud of what we’ve done so far on an almost non-existent budget, and I know we have a unique vision that is more relevant than ever.
Won’t you join us?

Awesome! I'm excited to see what you find. And to hear more about survey design innovation, always.

Discussing religion and democracy with @hollybfletcher.bsky.social at a @pulaskiinstitution.bsky.social event was truly a joy. Did I take two pieces of art off her hands? You betcha. Will I drag her to OU to discuss her new book? Obviously. Stay tuned!
We're putting on our second Pulaski Institution Summit this October 4, feat. speakers like @jesspish.bsky.social, @mcpli.bsky.social, @kjephd.bsky.social, @hollybfletcher.bsky.social, @shortle.bsky.social, and more!
We’re really grateful our speakers donate their time and expertise to do this!
You're welcome! 🤗
Christian nationalism! Experiments! Local! For my spotlight with @mrfisherjr.bsky.social, we test the effect of CN rhetoric and race on mobilization and decision-making in local elections, w. a @prri.org-funded experiment: prri.org/spotlight/ho... Spoiler: CN talk hurts candidates for local office.
I respect this.
Important Q for political scientists: Who out there ever played the clarinet? @asdurso.bsky.social and I are interested! Thanks in advance! 😀
I'm telling you!!! 🤣
Excited to kick off a 4-yr #Ascendium project with @arrc.bsky.social's research team @tycmcnamee.bsky.social, @alisahicklinfryar.bsky.social, Laken DeBoard, @vsansone.bsky.social, @drandrewk.bsky.social, examining rural higher ed & workforce dev in 5 states!

My work is all mass-level, so I don't classify individuals as CN unless they self label, or answer @prri.org's 5-question CN battery for me. But, many individuals use Christian nationalist rhetoric, in all sorts of ways. We never know if "CN talk" reflects values or simple means to political ends.
TOMORROW at 1 pm ET - Join the Red River Revelry! Listen, watch, and enjoy the OU/Texas @prri.org webinar discussion of Christian nationalism and American patriotism - featuring @profsamperry.bsky.social, @melissadeckman.bsky.social, Eric McDaniel, and me! 🇺🇸
So excited!!
Establishment Clause for the win.
I am so excited to kick off the summer by reading Maraam Dwidar 's Power to the Partners. I know I'm not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but it's gorgeous!
I was happy to visit OETA to discuss what's at stake in the Supreme Court's St. Isadore v Drummond case. Thank you to @prri.org, whose data I mention to highlight the tension this outcome could have with popular opinion on religion's role in government and education. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebuZ...
Just out at @poqjournal.bsky.social. Why is it critical to consider race when discussing Christian nationalism? Because it often works differently for White & minoritized adults, often corresponding to racial in-group interests & identities. It's not *always* reactionary IOW. doi.org/10.1093/poq/...
Thanks @iansociologo.bsky.social! Will reach out to you with an invite to the next one - stay tuned!
