If the cops keep shutting down noise demos, it seems people could do small, regular demos, where small groups, or even individuals, return every hour through the night, blast air horns for a few minutes, and then leave. Be water.

If there was any question as to who the police work for, Minneapolis PD spent the day destroying the blockades that people had recently constructed for the purpose of slowing traffic and intercepting ICE vehicles.

For people wondering why local police aren't stopping ICE/CBP, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that is not role of the police. The role of the police, *has always been* to reinforce hierarchies, be they racial hierarchies, class hierarchies, or both. Their role *has never been* to protect/serve anyone but those at the top of those hierarchies.

Since the introduction of body cams, the annual number of murders by police *has gone up*. They are not tools for preventing wrongdoing by police, and they aren't even tools for later accountability. They are tools for mass surveillance, full stop.

This is bad, and every liberal that spent the last ten years demanding this is to blame. The roving death squads now have even more power to surveil you.

Enterprise Vandalized: No cars for ICE • rosecitycounterinto © 2026/02/01 • Leave a comment In the early morning hours of Tuesday, Jan 27, we crept into the Enterprise Rental lot on on Sandy Bld. and 28th and disabled every car, truck, and van parked there. A large message reading "ICE RENTS HERE" was sprayed across the building to make our motive clear to any passerbys. Awls made quick work of the tires and each vehicle also received a complementary paint job. We left just as quickly as we arrived, with the air still hissing out of the tires as we disappeared back into the night with smiles on our faces and joy in our hearts. ICE and Border Patrol have been using vehicles rented from Enterprise to kidnap and deport people across the country, including here in Portland. Enterprise has several locations across the city. It only took us a few minutes to make an entire lot of vehicles inoperable. It was simple and fun, and we heard a rumor that Enterprise canceled their Portland area hiring event as a result of our nighttime intervention.

There’s some incredibly effective action happening over there. Be safe, Portland!

1) these people didn't "take the bait" and it didn't matter, because that was never more than a talking point to keep people pacified.
2) the authorities don't care if you're "nonviolent."

The feed the last few months has been a non-stop roll of videos of ICE (and other armed goons) doing awful shit. It should be really obvious that the filming isn't stopping them. If we want to stop them, we have to put the cameras down and *stop them.*

She Was Honored With A Human Rights Award. Then She Says ICE Tricked And Arrested Her. A HuffPost investigation found how the Trump administration systematically destroyed safeguards for detainees, subjecting them to abuse and neglect.

I feel so sick reading this. She dedicated her life to helping her immigrant trans siblings, finally got the medical care she sought her whole life, and then a year later ICE tricked her, kidnapped her and used her postoperative status as a weapon to destroy her health.

I would really, really urge you: if this is not your work, if you have not been in this stuff for years, stifle your urge to speak over the folks actually running these groups, actually putting these protests together, actually responsible for keeping people safe.
