Feels like it could be an album cover for a metal band, haha 🎸

📣 Announcing JSON Alexander

A really good JSON viewer browser extension.

→ Easily open/collapse objects
→ Copy property path
→ Access JSON in dev tools console
→ Funny hairy finger cursor

I’ve lived here long enough to know how to pronounce it, but still catch myself looking it up every so often to make sure I spelled it right when writing it, haha 😅

That is rad! Excited to use it as browsers catch up with support. Thanks for showing the possibilities of what it can do 🙌

I don’t think I’ve dealt with the MS AutoUpdate… I wonder if it’s because I download most of my apps (when available) using Brew as “casks”, so it makes them easier to manage and also way easier to remove, since most times the uninstall also removes and cleans up related artifact files, configs, etc

Oh ya, very much agree on making sure to test on Edge on actual Windows machine, for real confidence in cross-browser compatibility.

I mostly check Edge on Mac when doing tests among the other browsers on Mac since there with the other browsers, but for Edge the real test is definitely on Windows 👍

Ah gotcha! I misunderstood and thought you maybe meant it was a mistake for some other reason (like some privacy or security concern that possibly made the news a while back and thus warranted removal) and then you were just surprised by the annoying auto updater after the fact! Apologies 😊

Curious why it was a mistake to download it? I have it on my Mac, but mostly just for helping test things I’m building in a few different browsers (granted it’s built on Chromium so not as necessary if app works on Chrome; not like the old IE days), just to be safe 🤷‍♂️

Yais! I’m a huge fan of Subgrid! It’s been super helpful for layouts when using Grid, without having to jump hoops with HTML structure since grid only applies to immediate children of parent displaying as grid. I find Subgrid has really helped Grid shine! ✨

Looking forward to reading your post!

Nice! Also love the slight detail with the icon showing a small fill to indicate sidebar will/is showing and vice versa when hiding sidebar 👏
