Ana fell into an easy rhythm over the next few days. It was easy to spend a whole day taking care of her basic needs. She foraged for food, cooked, and slept. She chatted with the animals and watched water dance at the base of the falls. Each day she felt just a tiny bit of tension leave her body.
Ana had only slept for a few hours, but the sun’s rays streaming through the tent woke her at dawn. She stretched and stepped out into the crisp spring air, shocked to find that she could see for miles. Just past a fork in the River Bagley were ruins that she was eager to explore.
