I got independent verification on this after reporting it, but Sony's music player app in the PS5 currently cannot show embedded album art, while the PS4 can. Just further eroding of features on BARELY functional media playing apps for Sony's consoles.

Yeah that's what I get when I attempt to use JDownloader2 to 'download' the files. Keeps showing 128 kbps AAC (or something to that effect).

Everything I tried shows 128 kbps. Supposedly 5.1 mode does use a higher bitrate. I'll do some tests to double check. But the total problem still stands: YouTube remains one of the last platforms to not offer high quality/lossless audio.

So there's a failure added to this on YouTube's part: Apparently they do offer higher bitrates for audio (up to 256)... But ONLY for phones of all devices! WTF? Why not for desktops and streaming devices?

And indeed the difference with lossless over YouTube is HUGE! The quality, clarity, spacial presence, etc. all seem a thousandfold better than YouTube music playback. 128 kbps... 😩

So after a few kinks to work out, I've got my PS5 set up to play FLAC music from my thumb drive. I found out YouTube ONLY outputs audio in 128kbps lossy. That is PATHETIC for music.

More amp-jacking. In this example, I thought people were doing it after ripping, but upon my own exact audio copy examination, I see this horrific image:

You can't make this up: Someone fried the 10V regulator in this AES, then physically cut it from the motherboard and populated the 5V section manually. They then KEPT the 10V shell sticker on the bottom, causing the console to get fried a 2nd time when someone tried a 10V PSU!
